The best thing about this hotel is the location. Right on Casp street at the corner with Passeig de Gracia, 5' walk to Placa Catalunya, so very central. However, the room leaves a lot to be desired. The bed is creeky, 2 twin bedframes pushed together and a full mattress on top (lumpy mattress). Lighting is not very bright, and the phone doesn't work for outside calls.
The biggest problem is the night staff. The weekend we arrived, the internet didn't work, and the phone system didn't work either. We had an emergency one night, and when we asked the front desk staff, he basically said sorry, nothing works, but I can't do anything to help you. Not until it was past 2am and we've searched the whole area for internet in vain did he allowed the use of his computer for 5 minutes, the whole time slamming drawers around. If you don't like to help people, don't go into the service business!

Great location, big room (it was a suite), with a big bathroom! Everything is right at the doorstep....we were staying in a suite with huge balcony overlooking Placa Catalunya! You get the occasional traffic noise from the main roads below..otherwise, we slept really soundly.

Centrally located next to plaza catalonia and Ramblas, this a quite nice property with basic amenities.
Good value for money and comfortable to stay in. Generally quite location even while central.
Walk to the metro, Ramblas, Gothic quarter or not very far from Sagrada familia.
Get down the hotel to take a bus ride to La Roca Village for some low cost high fashion shopping.
We also took a ride to Park Aventura, which was fun.

Family room was quite suitable for family of four, while main beds were quite comfortable, the sofa bed was...well a sofa bed. Great value though. A/C was having a bit of trouble keeping up with July heat.
