Very good hotel with friendly crew. Good location, near bus station, metro and nearby Sagrada Familia. You can easily reach by walk many Barcelona attractions. Our three beds room was too little and I didn't really appreciate the glass toilet door - you need more privacy when you share the room with friends!
For 4 nights at the end of octomber , the hotel was a good enough choice. I think is a little bit expensive . The room was no so large for a three beds, there was a single chair and a little table in the room (for 3 pers.). I didn’t like the glass door at the bathroom and the noise through the walls. Fortunately we lerned italian language just one night. The beds were OK , probably they’re changed (other reviewers claims the bed).
The breakfast was very good ,especially for the “jamon”.
The very plus was the receptionists , I think the very few persons that speak english and smile in Barcelona. The hotel is in a quiet area, three metro stops at max 10 min away,
a Condis supermarket just at the street corner.
Me and my husband stayed at the hotel for 3 nights for my birthday. We had a pleasant stay despite the very very uncomfortable beds - I am not a fussy person but I felt that the mattress was going to cave in ever time I sat on it. The location is great and safe, we used the metro to go to most places, there are two stops very close by (monumental and glores). The sagrada familia is very close, within walking distance.
The breakfast was nice, the usual continental breakfast - no fireworks but a good healthy breakfast no the less. There is free wi fi in the reception or you can use the computer which I think it was 1euro for 5minutes. The staff are also quite friendly and speak a good amount of english.
Overall would reccommend but if you like a comfortable bed this hotel probubly isnt for you. - Also the walls are quite thin, was woken up every morning by a couple in the room next to us.
We stayed here for four nights in September. The cost per night was actually pretty high, it averaged at about $225/nt. which I think is way too expensive for the quality and location. The hotel is a bit far from all the main attractions, city center, and the metro is about a 5-7 minute unpleasant walk. It is directly adjacent to the theatre so I thought that there would be at least some nightlife or activity around. But there is nothing nearby, not much restaurants, and the markets nearby seem to open at will. I guess that is why they provide free breakfast at the hotel. They also provide free wifi, but it expires every 24 hrs of use, so we had to ask the front desk every night for the new password.
The hotel is a new remodel, so there is not a lot of wear and tear. However they cheaped out on the building material. The walls are paper thin and you can hear the adjacent room clearly. The passthrough door between rooms are also not the most secure. The locks are flimsy and the doors are low quality and they seem like you could very easiiy kick through them. The rooms are pretty spacious for Europe. The bed was very uncomfortable and I could feel every spring in the mattress. The mattress was thin and there is no box spring. It felt like I was sleeping on someone's foldout sofabed. All the furniture and accessories came from ikea. There is a glass writing desk near the window with a desk chair. As a small functional desk, it served its purpose, but be careful of those sharp chipped edges, kinda dangerous for the careless. There is a fold out plastic chair in the closet if you wish to put out another chair. There are no safes in the rooms which is a little annoying because who in their right mind would carry their valuables with them in Barcelona? So we decided to opt out of room cleaning for the 4 nights so that the maid won't come in and rummage through our things.
Overall, I think the location was a bad choice. I would advise others to spend a little more money and stay closer to the city center, dining out was always a hassle.
