“Fave hotel so far...”

We stayed here for a couple of nights on a 'romantic break' deal. The suite we stayed in was huge, well laid out and with views from all sides of the room and a big, comfortable bed, felt more like an apartment then a hotel room. The staff were friendly and welcoming- the hostess at breakfast laid out a table for us by the window to give us a good view and another member of staff walked us to our room and carried my suitcase on arrival. The location is also really good. The hotel is in a nice neighbourhood and the tourist bus is only over the road so getting about is very accessbile. The hotel bar is self service so instead we visited a bar over the road from the hotel, Bar Velodromo. It was relatively inexpensive, quick service and nice atmosphere. All in all, a really good trip. The only suggestion I would make is to get a good map of the area with clearer directions to the metro. There is one local but as the streets are so long it can be hard to access straight away and there aren't many signs about to indicate its exact location.

“This is a hotel to book”

This hotel was perfect for our anniversary weekend away and it was made special by the lovely staff at the Wilson Boutique Hotel. Upon our arrival we were greeted by a very polite young man who carried our bags to our room and although limited english, was always eager to help and assist and provide us with information to ensure we enjoyed our stay. We stayed in the corner room on floor 7 which was walled 180 degrees in windows facing out to the hustle and bustle of Barcelona below, very pretty in day and night. The room was cleaned daily at our convenience and it was obvious that the rooms are maintained to a good modern standard. Our room included a balcony with a table and chairs and although it is positioned in the centre of the Diagonal we were not disturbed by any traffic or public noises. The breakfast in the hotel was substantial including, cereals, fruit, hot breakfast and cold continental food. The waitress there ensured that there were always tables available near windows for a terrific morning view of the city and she was very pleasant offering top ups of coffee etc. If you decide not to book breakfast there are great pastry shop close by that you can buy a filled roll and coffee for example for 5 euros. Beware, dont leave your shopping till the Sunday as there are no shops open on a Sunday except cafes. We would strongly recommend the tour bus which stops close to the hotel and we bought a 2 day pass which also saved our taxi fares in the evening when travelling into Las Ramblas as the last pick up was at 8.30pm . (Taxi to Las Ramblas will cost aprox 8 euros). There are no relaxing lounge suites at this hotel but we honestly didnt require one as we were happy to be experiencing Barcelona for as many hours as possible yet we could sleep and prepare to go out in a very nice comfortable room.

Room Tip: The corner rooms are bigger

“Simply Amazing”

I have just returned from spending 3 days in the Wilson Boutique and I am already looking at booking again for this year!!

We stayed in a suite on the 6th floor which was just perfect. We had great views over the Diagonal. It is definitely worth asking for a room higher up. The hotel was extremely clean. The staff could not have been more helpful - advising us on which routes/transport to take, restaurants to eat at.

The breakfast was also very good. Sausages, spanish bacon, eggs, breads, fruits, cold meats, pastries - my mouth is watering just thinking about it again!

Would definitely recommend this hotel. For location, it cannot be beaten. If you are staying in Barcelona , make sure you stay on the Diagonal rather than the more touristy areas as you really do get a better area/location without having to pay an arm and a leg for it. It is surrounded by the more uptown restaurants and bars and we found it to be the nicest part of Barcelona (and we saw a lot!) .

i just wish I was back there!

“Modern and design.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

My husband and I spent 4 days in Barcelona which is a very interesting city to visit.
Wilson Hotel was great. It's a modern and design place, maybe a little bit noisy, but nice and comfortable. We had a room at 5th floor with a nice view. Our room was decorated with style, bathroom was modern and perfectly clean.
We also appreciated having a nice breakfast at the hotel before visiting the city.

Room Tip: Rooms from 5th floor have nice view.

“Very good”

Stayed at the Wilson hotel for a week in January. The hotel has no public areas except a computer desk by the reception desk and a cafeteria that served full breakfast in the mornings and self service snacks and drinks until midnight. The rooms have a fake minimalistic decor on the cheap side but still they are clean and comfortable and considering this is a 3 star hotel they are more than adequate. We had a junior suite facing the north side of the hotel (not the diagonal) and a small balcony which was a bonus. Location was not bad and taxis are everywhere and cheap. Barcelona is a wonderful city with so many attractions, excellent restaurants and the people there are very friendly and proud of their city. Overall we had an excellent holiday in one of the most attractive cities in Europe.
