MF USA - stayed in the hotel for 8 days in May 2007
This is a wonderful small hotel, charmingly renovated from an eighteenth century abbey. Our air-conditioned, double room was very comfortable, spotless, and good-sized, even by American standards. The bathroom was modern and well equipped including bath with shower. The double room including breakfast seemed very economical compared to the other hotels we stayed in.
The restaurant is excellent, with some of the best food we had in Spain (comparable to meals we had in a Parador). The breakfast was also excellent with a wide selection breakfast items. The bar was a good option for lighter meals.
The staff was consistently helpful and pleasant.
With easy access to a four lane freeway, the location is excellent for day trips to many of the top tourist sites in the Castille-Leon area, including Segovia, Avila, Burgos, Salamanca, Leon, Zamora, and the Escorial, as well as Valladolid, an early capital of Spain.
