“No compliants”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2010

Stayed here one night. Hotel located just off Plaza Mayor. Got a beautiful room with very comfy beds. Roberto the manager speaks excellent english and was very helpful. He has a list of the recommended Tapas bars and we tried three of them -- all excellent. The room was very quiet eventhough it was facing a busy road. Next morning, we had a lovely breakfast that was Spanish in style. This is a friendly hotel and very well located. The hotel organised a taxi for our trip to the airport the next morning and it was reasonable at €30.00. Overall, if you want to stay city centre and enjoy the excellent tapas bars and shopping that Valladolid has to offer, this is THE place to stay. PS. If you bring a car into a big city, you should expect to have to pay for carparking!!

“Great value for money!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2010

I stayed at the Hotel Imperial for 5 nights for a conference. My room was simple though comfortable, with a modern flat-screen television. The bathroom is fine, and is cleaned every day, including new towels. Breakfast is basic though sufficient. Friendly staff, though only the manager speaks English. He is always willing to advise guests on the best tapas bars and to explain about Spanish traditions.
The hotel has a great location, close to Plaza Mayor and many nice bars and restaurants. On weekend nights, it's not as quiet as during the week though.
Great restaurant (Casa de los Gallo) where you can have great lunch for a nices price.
In short: nice hotel with good services, great value for money.

“Central location Hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 October 2010

Nothing too fancy but a nice hotel, with excelent location (right at Plaza Mayor of Valladolid) which totally fits the purpose of visiting the city.
The Hotel Imperial, now one of the Zenit Hotels chain, has some sublimes details although being a little ancient, like its façade and entrance lobby where the reception and the tea and coffee hall are. At our arrival there was an holy communion great party at the hall with lots of people and loud music that first frightened us a bit, but then, the manager reassured us that it wasn’t audible at the 4th floor where our room was. And he was right, nothing was heard at night.
Our room, the 405, was spacious enough, comfy, nothing too fancy but sufficiently enough to meet the needs, with LCD TV, minibar-fridge, window fronting an interieur terrace, large bathroom, average extras, clean and practical.
Staff was kind and very friendly, specially the manager, Roberto, which as other travelers told here before, was very regardful and gave us all kind of useful informations about the city when we checked-in.
After all, a good and recomendable hotel at the heart of Valladolid, booked at nice rate (62€) at hotels.com, breakfast not included (better outside at the Plaza Mayor and surrondings). Parking is the negative issue, expensive at their recomended park and hard to find at the always car crowded streets. Happily, I got a free space to park my car, illegally at week days but legal at weekends, which suited us since we were 2 weekend nights.

“Great hotel but credit card fraud!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2010

Our Salamanca friend booked this hotel for us. It was well-located, comfortable, clean, free WiFi. We asked for a double bed and they said all they had were two singles pushed together. The staff was very helpful - one particularly so apparently. That person helped themselves to our credit card details and compromised our card. Fortunately, our bank was vigilant and protected us from this thief. Beware!

“comfortable, lovely hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 May 2010

Just spent a week in this hotel and loved it. It was clean, very pretty and the rooms were nicely decorated and the staff were all nice. It's also located in the most central area practically in the plaza major with restaurants and tapas bars right next door. After spending a week at a hotel across from the bus station, this hotel was a blessing. The staff were happy to show me rooms beforehand. I had breakfast one morning at the hotel which was simple, but opted the rest of the week to buy breakfast food at a local grocery store a short walk away for the rest of the week. I had a room on the side of the hotel on a small street across from the postoffice. Considering I had just stayed in a hotel overlooking a ramp off a busy highway, I thought it was fairly quiet outside the hotel Zenit, especially late at night and into the morning. I could hear the occasional people in the wee hours of the morning returning from the bars, but they would soon pass and I would fall right back to sleep. I loved that the floors were carpeted so women in heels couldn't distrub me. One evening I was treated to a religious procession of people dressed in costume accompanied by drums and horns and a float on their way to a nearby church.
