“Very good location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 July 2011

Many reviews seem to dislike this hotel, but we found it to be very convenient, clean comfortable. The staff are efficient and friendly, especially if you speak spanish but they can get by with english which is very good for this part of Spain.

Rooms comfy if a little noisy, especially Saturday nights. Better to ask for a room at the back, after all you don't book a city centre hotel for the view. The garage is large enough and you can book in advance, again if you speak to them in Spanish. Beds are doubles, not queens or Kings but a better bet is to get a twin room and push them together.

Room Tip: Speak spanish to the staff.

“Won't be back.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 June 2011

Our Wine Club, a group of 24 with connections in the wine trade, based at this hotel for a week to visit winemakers in the region. The Bar and Reception staff were unhelpful and unfriendly. Language is no barrier to a friendly smile. We won't be back.

“Location is it's benefit”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 October 2006

I was a little disappointed by the hotel after reading the reviews.

It's not the easiest to find when travelling by car.

When we arrived in a large hire car - it was extremely tight to park. The hotel also doesn't have very many spaces and you can't book ahead so I'm not sure what would happen if you didn't get lucky.

The room felt quite musty - all the basics were there - but being a Spanish hotel there was no non smoking room availability so the room still smelt of the previous occupants. The lights gave a very yellow feel to the room and the bathroom felt in the need of redecoration.
Also the walls are extremely thin, so we could hear every word of the TV in the room next door late at night, and attempts to ask the reception to get the volume turned down fell on deaf ears.

It's plus points, the location was very handy and we walked everywhere from there. We found some excellent tapas bars off the Plaza Mayor and some nice wine bars too.

If you're intending to treat the place as bolt hole to explore it's convenient and reasonably priced. If you want something with a
little luxury, book elsewhere.

The hotel is located between the train and busstations and the historical city center (15 min walk). Is was very comfortable, clean, friendly staff and everything you can expect from a four star hotel. Recommendable
