We spent one night in Segovia, and we chose the Hotel Palacio San Facundo. It was a very nice hotel - good location, very comfortable room, friendly service - and I'm happy with our decision to stay there. Our room was large, quiet, and well-furnished. We usually stay in top-tier hotels; this wasn't top-tier, but it was very comfortable. We liked the location. I've seen that some other TripAdvisor members think the Hotel Palacio San Facundo is out of the way, but we loved its location. It's maybe a 5-10 minute walk from the main plaza - but also just a 5-10 minute walk from the aqueduct. And, because it's not right on, or near, the main plaza, it's nice and quiet. Nice.
We were spoiled by having spent a couple of great nights in other cities just before this - but, if I could put those exceptional experiences out of my mind, the service at the Hotel Palacio San Facundo was actually wonderful. Not over-the-top wonderful, but wonderful.
I need to leave a note about the garage. The ramp is unbelievably steep and short. Before you know it, there's a sharp 90-degree lurch to the left. Please be prepared for it. Once you're in the garage, there is ample maneuvering room for six or eight cars ... but that ramp is quite a breath-taker. Be prepared.
