If you're going to Segovia I hope it's for the history. Los Acros was a nice enough place to stay one night. The outside is a bit drab and dated but the interiors have been modernized. Good location and secure parking for a fee. We didn't have the 11 euro breakfast and had our other meals in town. Hotel staff was friendly as were the towns people.

Location: in a more modern part of town but next to a pedestrian street that leads to the aqueduct in 5 minutes walk. Good location for heading down to the park to get a view up to the Alca'zar.
Nice toiletries. Interesting decor - late 20th century, rather dark with bronzey orangey tones if I recall correctly.
Room a little small and rather too hot, despite loud air conditioning.
Dinner very good, with excellent waiter service (the type where they know what you want before you do!) If you have tasted the traditional dishes elsewhere you will notice the skill of the hotel's chef in balancing the very strong ingredients (the hotel's version of the local cake was much better than in shops).
A little on the expensive side unless you get a good deal. Reception nothing special.
Breakfast was good - a variety of cold meats, fruit, cereals, bread, in a pleasant room. The automatic coffee machines did let it down somewhat.
One reviewer says 5 mins from station. Presumably he/she means the old station - the new station Segovia-Guiomar or Segovia AV is quite a way from the centre of Segovia. This is not a problem - the buses are frequent and are some of the cheapest in Europe (the ridiculous sum of 84 cents!) and the new station is a pleasure to behold.

Bland but acceptable. On the fringe of the old city, perhaps 10 minute walk from the aquaduct.

We selected this hotel because it was 4* and it's restaurant was well rated in reviews..

In comparison with other 4* star hotels we stayed in during our mid-May 2008 tour of Extremedura and Castile & Leon, the Los Arcos was way behind in terms of decor, facilities and breakfast.

The hotel had a decidedly tired feel about it with pretty spartan public areas; the bar was very basic and uninviting.

We were unfortunate to be allocated a room (413) which was next to the lift shaft - luckily the hotel was not very busy and the noise from the lift was just tolerable. The room itself was adequate.

The dinner in restaurant (La Cocina de Segovia) that evening was ok, but nothing special. In our estimation it certainly did not live up to the claim on the hotel website " One of the best restaurants in Spain "

The dinner might have been ok but the breakfast was decidedly poor, both in choise and quality and tasteless self-service coffee dispensed from a vending type machine.
