We stayed in the hotel for 1 night in October. The hotel is in a perfect location right behind the Cathedral and convenient for sightseeing.
We asked for a superior room with view of the Cathedral and we were extremely pleased. The room was spacious and cozy, with modern decor, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was large and modern, and everything was very clean and well maintained. We had a beautiful view of the Cathedral - particularly at night when it was all lit up, truly amazing and so romantic!
This hotel is also an excellent value.
We enjoyed our stay here and we highly recommend it!

Very nice hotel and quiet. Could walk to most places

we drove from lisbon to madrid on fantastic motorways mostly devoid of traffic. and stopped en route in salamanca one of the most elegant cities I have ever visited. the hotel is situated in a quiet pedestrianised precinct but adjacent to the cathedral and a 5 minute walk to the main historic sites, the main square, restaurants and shoppiing streets. it is all rather modern and perhaps a little bland at first sight but the reception staff were exceedingly helpful and welcoming, the bedrooms are spotless and the bathrooms well appointed. breakfast is served in a basement room but it is bright and airy, the buffet choice is good and you can order anything hot to be cooked to order, we chose omelette and it was delicious. we had booked the hotel on a room only basis but when we arrived they said instead of charging £14 each for breakfast if we booked it there and then they would charge us £10. we had a room on the first floor as did our friends and we both had very large balconies but their room had no furniture on the balcony as it was longer in the shade and overlooked by another bedroom window; one room was 106 and the other was 108 but sorry, i can't remember which was which!!! for a lovely weekend in a delightful location only 2.5 hours from madrid by train or motorway choose salamanca and book yourself in the this little gem of a hotel.

The taxi ride from the railway station was odd, as we seemed to take ages going through narrow cobbled streets. However, we discovered that this was one of the benefits. Traffic is well controlled and the square outside the hotel is mostly pedestrian only except for taxis and the occasional delivery vehicle. It was very quiet, yet a short walk from all the action.
We took breakfast every day in the Plaza Major. The cafe in the corner in the sun charges just €3.50 for the standard coffee, croissant and juice.
Reception was always welcoming and helpful. The room was very nicely furnished with good aircon. Everything worked and we were very comfortable. Everything was as described on their website.
Just down from the hotel are the Car museum which is definitely worth a visit and the Art Deco/Art Nouveau museum which is worth a visit for the building alone, though we found the collections a little odd. The Roman bridge is also a delight.
Everything else is North of the hotel, but a 10-15 minute walk will get yoiu everywhere in the centre. The guided walk in the Lonely Planet guide was excellent.
