Upon entering the beautiful lobby, you are immediately impressed by the French style chairs, extensive glass and black marble all around. Beautiful elevators and hallways. Everything is in a fine state of repair.
Our room was equally lovely with gold and chrome fixtures, black marble and glass partitions in the bathroom. The living area was fully furnished with a great writing desk, comfortable chairs, table and a very comfortable bed.
However, the dining experience was not so good. Although the glass topped dining room was lovely, the food and service didn't measure up. Since this location was part of our Spain/portugal group tour, the meals were included. The breakfast, while it had everything, was chaotic. Either they weren't ready for the group or they were poorly managed. In either case, we had to wait for everything to be replenished many times. They ran out of everything. The line at the coffee machine (which was very good) was too long.
Now for dinner: It was terrible. The pasta dish was flavorless and cold. In fact, anything that was supposed to be hot, wasn't. The service was very slow and, although we tried, we couldn't get an order in for wine. The only good part was that, due to the amount of time it took us to have dinner, we were able to get acquainted with our new traveling companions.
I have no idea how much the room or the meals cost as they were part of the tour package.
Bottom line: The hotel accommodations were first rate but, eat elsewhere.
