I stayed here for 5 nights with my mother while visiting my daughter, who is studying at the University of Salamanca. I booked it primarily because of location and price. It was so reasonable that I was a little worried that something might be wrong with it. I can not say enough nice things about this hotel. Our room was large, spotless and so comfortable. The location of this hotel could not be better - you are a half a block from Plaza Mayor, the center of all that is Salamanca. But, since you're a half a block away, you don't get much street noise. The breakfast selection was awesome! Also, the breakfast room is so charming and they even play music! The front desk staff is sweet and helpful. They were always smiling and happy to help in any way. My mother was sick one evening and the front desk person got her hot water for her tea and offered to help in any way we needed. If you are looking for a hotel in Salamanca, this is the perfect place!

I stayed in this hotel last Sunday with my daughter, who is studying at the University of Salamanca. The staff were *wonderful*..very kind, courteous and helpful. I thought the value was outstanding. Free wifi, which is a huge plus! the rooms were very roomy by european standards and nicely decorated. Everything was perfect. I have stayed in several countries in Europe and couldn't believe what we got for only 72 euro/night. We had interraction with 3 different staff people and all were extremely nice.

Room was spotless and even had a sofa.

The claim this hotel makes as a 3 star hotel throws the entire star-system into disrepute.
We arrived in a very rainy Salamanca and called for directions (because the online directions do not correspond with the hotel's location). Wearily the receptionist gave rough details as to where the hotel was. Then we called for parking and the receptionist stated there was none (contrary to the website). Finally we were told to park in an underground carpark 10 minutes from the hotel. So far, not so bad. When we arrived, however, the arrogance with which we were received was incredible. Moreover, there internet was no internet (contrary to website), there was no restaurant (contrary to the website), the rooms were far from 3 star standard. Upon discovering this, we decided to look elsewhere but the receptionist told us we had alredy paid. Reluctantly we stayed. When we woke the next morning we were asked to settle the bill despite us insisting that we had paid in full.....

Anyway, such confusion and lack of quality is often assuaged by friendly and humble service, but where these guys get off thinking they are somehow superior to their clients is beyond me. If they aspire to be a modern, designer hotel and have the moody arrogance to go with it, they need to spruce up their hotel which is currently no better than a simple 1 star pension.

Please avoid this hotel, or at least prepare yourself to be ripped off....

Stayed in Rua Hotel for two nights this months. Liked the hotel as it's location was very convenient indeed and the price we paid was very reasonable. The room was comfortable enough, we didn't happen to be disturbed by any noise from the street as some mentioned before. The breakfast room was one the cosiest I've ever seen and the continental breakfast was good enough. Free internet in the lobby.
Lovely little town, I recommend it to anyone.
