Around the corner from a street that can be noisy (but not noisy) and a stone's throw from the main square. 4-star and must have been recently refurbished as some of the comments in existing reviews are just not true. In a cul-de-sac but any competent driver can cope with that and get to the underground parking lot at Columbus Square which is about 400m away near the old Cathedral. Staff explained how to get there very lucidly and also recommended a good restaurant which served excellent fish. Clean, comfortable and with the best buffet breakfast we came across in our whole week in Spain.

This hotel is in a great location in the old town with direct access to the Plaza Major which is similar in a small scale to Madrid. It is not a four star (or anything close) The hotel is basic, comfortable and has all the expected amenities but with a poor shower. It's old but not in a good way.. The TV is tiny and the only English channel is BBC World News. . It's beside a hostel and open bars so don't expect a quiet night. Great city but I think I will try another hotel next time.

If you're going to Salamanca, this is the perfect location, right aside to the Plaza Mayor Square. It may be a little noisy because of that, but that's Salamanca spirit. Despite of this, Rua Salamanca may seem a little bit too old and some refurbishing seems necessary, but the room and the bathroom were spacious. Anyway, excellent value for the money including a honest breakfast.

I stayed here for 5 nights with my mother while visiting my daughter, who is studying at the University of Salamanca. I booked it primarily because of location and price. It was so reasonable that I was a little worried that something might be wrong with it. I can not say enough nice things about this hotel. Our room was large, spotless and so comfortable. The location of this hotel could not be better - you are a half a block from Plaza Mayor, the center of all that is Salamanca. But, since you're a half a block away, you don't get much street noise. The breakfast selection was awesome! Also, the breakfast room is so charming and they even play music! The front desk staff is sweet and helpful. They were always smiling and happy to help in any way. My mother was sick one evening and the front desk person got her hot water for her tea and offered to help in any way we needed. If you are looking for a hotel in Salamanca, this is the perfect place!
