A reserved (15mins) two bay slot outside the entrance is well-needed as the street parking in August was solidly used. Their underground park tucked round the back was convenient enough once the bags had been unloaded.
Reception staff were quite quick considering a fairly large Canadian party arrived at the same time although the lift is pretty tiny and we had a wait for them to make their way up. The rooms are of the more modern Ibis style with mock-parquet floor and duvets; aircon up to the task. Location opposite a pleasant public park between Ibis and an old Jesuit college allowing peaceful catching of the afternoon sun. No dinner served but the easy walking distance to the old part of the city solved that. Avoid the pricey eateries in the Plaza Mayor and acceptable grub for reasonable prices are in the side streets. Breakfast the usual Ibis; a good refuel before travelling on is guaranteed (unlike many Spanish independents) but costlier than Ibis in France. A good choice for a Salamnca stay at a reasonable price.

Just a few minutes away from the center, Ibis Salamanca has a great price for what you get. You get a perfectly tidy up room, sattelite TV, a small but modern bathroom and a quiet atmosphere overall.
The only this you can point out as being a bad thing? The "restaurant" or the lack of it. You can get some frozer microwave dinners or a buffet breakfast for absurd prices and not so good quality. But the point is, you're in Salamanca, so you just walk outside and find some nice restaurant with some nice Tapas and forget about that.

It was lovely to be greeted on arrival by a smiling face of the female receptionist. She is an excellent ambassador for Accor.
The walk to the historic centre is not far. It is a wonderful experience.

Good location, a short walk to the city centre and main sights. Car parking under the hotel. Geneally good IBIS breakfast, apart from quality of coffee and lack of marmalade. As with other IBIS hotels in Spain, wifi is now charged for, which I feel will put off casual users. This hotel unlike some other IBIS hotels did provide an hour of free use.
