Stayed 2 nights.

Paid around 50eur per night for the room. Location is ok, slightly to the east of the main square, but still confortable to walk everywhere. Is on a quiet area.

Service and reception are correct, rooms are correct and clean. Also quiet.

Room service is with a pizza delivery company which is not supplying half of the things in the menu (a little bit dissapointing).

Breakfast is very good, a nice selection of Spanish stuff. 7,5 eur per person.

I will come back next time in Salamanca.

Reasonably straight forward to find the hotel and the hotels own signage helped. We were grateful to have booked covered parking space as public parking was difficult. We were welcomed by Nines on reception who gave us all sorts of useful information about both the hotel and the city.. The other reception staff were equally helpful during our stay. The rooms and public areas were very good. There was an enjoyable extensive buffet breakfast. The hotel was well situated for the short walk into the heart of Salamanca. We shall certainly use the Tryp again on our next visit to there.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in November. The room was huge, well appointed , linens and towels clean and smelled fresh. The front desk was very helpful , ordered a taxi for us and followed up on the morning to make sure it comes on time. There is a computer with internet at the back of the office which they let me use in an emergency. The staff was always pleasant and greeted us happily no matter what time we came home. We did not try the breakfast which we thought was expensive , so could not comment on that. There were many business people at that time so breakfast would be good there with an expense account. Going out for breakfast is a brisk 7 - 10 minutes walk though. The hotel location is away from the center square, not far, but still a good 12 minute walk. I wanted a quiet sleeping area, which made the location perfect. There is a quiet park at the back which seemed to be part of the old Jesuit property. Flower beds all around, although empty in the fall when we came.
It is possible to walk from the train station to the hotel even with a carry-on size rolling suitcase, which we did when we got there from Madrid. We are a middle age couple. We took a taxi to get back since we wanted to take the early train to Madrid. Remember to buy your roundtrip train tickets since they do not sell tickets early in the am.
Excellent value for the quality and location, but of course we went in the fall lo season.
P.S . Do not missed the Art Nouveau and Art Deco Museum Casa Lis.

I just can write good things about this hotel: clean, really nice and helpful staff, on a calm street ( about a 10-minute walk from Plaza Mayor ), near a park, good towels and shower, a stool in the bathroom ( hard to find in many hotels ) and all this for a good price. Very recommended.
