Not an any way a boutique hotel, just an ordinary business hotel. Decent clean room. Greeting letter from manager and a dodgy plate of biscuits, see photo.Instead of a cleaner wandering around reception doing nothing it may be a better idea to employ a porter to help with luggage. No bottled water except as a charge item. Save money on an expensive compliments slip with envelope and an uncovered plate of biscuits and put a couple of bottles of botteled water at guests's disposal. "Free" Wi Fi was not free, at reception they "gave" you an hour for free and thereafter charged.

Conclusion : good but the quality-price relation not the best.. it is not cheap but is whorth.

The reviews for this hotel led me to book for the first two days or our trip to Spain (we also visited Gredos, Toledo and returned Salamanca). The are spot on. The staff were friendly and helpful at check-in and the car parking process interesting but worthwhile. The location is excellent just minutes from the cathederals and a little longer to the main tourist street leading to Plaza Mayor.

Rooms comfortable, reception friendly and not intimidating.

When we found we needed to return to Salamanca as our plans changed we tried to get in again but unfortunately it was fully booked. I would definitely return here.

Breakfast was excellent especially for teenagers who don't know when to stop eating.

Downside was the internet access which was chargeable and not great, but there are free wifi signals within range!!

Many good reviews have been written about this hotel and they are all TRUE! The reception staff are extremely helpful, the rooms are large and very comfortable and the chamber maids are very willing to help with any problems: we had trouble opening our large window but a hefty heave from the cleaner and all was well. Our room was at the front of the hotel but the noise was minimal as the street is very quiet.
We went board only but a short application for the loyalty card and we had 50% off the excellent breakfasts.
The location is great, too, as it is not too close to the crowded tourist sites but only a ten minute walk away from the Plaza Mayor.
An excellent choice if you want a quiet location not very far away from the main sights.
