“Decent Hotel, friendly service, good value”

Also the direct sourrounding is not very romantic - it is located opposit a gas station - I can reccomend this hotel if you visit Salamanca, one of the most beatiful cities in Spain!

You will walk about 10 - 15 minutes to the center accross the old roman bridge. I got a very good rate via venere for only € 55,-, which is a great deal for a 4* hotel.

Breakfast was not included, I usually avoid expensive breakfast buffets, but tihs one for € 7,50 was o.k..

The pool was closed (as I visited in February) but looked promising. Try to get a room facing the side street, it will be more quiet, also the sound proof windows work quite good, so the other rooms should be o.k. too.

“well sited hotel to gain access to a great old town”

what a city, , once inside the walls everything was easy to access, some fantastic buildings and also still educating people in the old colleges, our hotel was just over the bridge from the old town which was great but at night the best place for drinks and tapas was at the other end of the city but walkable the van dyke area was unbelievable for tapas bars, local and austurian fantastic atmosphere and walking through plazza major at night unreal hundereds of people gathered talking or on free wifi brilliant to see. another point was the fact that they had a pool but could not be used they said it was out of season ?

“Clean, comfortable, well located and excellent value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 September 2010

Stayed here with my wife on a city break and we wereboth well satisfied. Having a car, it was nice that there was good parking nearby and easy access to the main road network.

The hotel itself was comfortable, nicely decorated ( albeit in a very traditional way ) and the housekeeping was first class - it's the only hotel I've ever stayed in where they give you a choice of 5 different types of pillow !

A couple of niggles - 1) it claims to have a cafeteria but doesn't and we could only get food of any kind at breakfast time and (2) the pool area is made to sound quite grand whereas it is very small and surrounded by buildings on 3 sides.

As others have said, it is only a short walk into the old town, although the first 150 yards after crossing the roman bridge are quite steep. Overall, we were pleased with our choice, particularly at the price we paid through a hotel booking agency.

“Perfect location, walking distance to town with parking”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2010

Picked this hotel due to its location and because of its parking, when we arrived unfortunately we couldn't get into the car park as all the vehicles in the group were 4x4's and to tall. However there is a fuel station right opposite the hotel and it has plenty of parking - we left all 8 vehicles out front no problem. The hotel itself is excellent, with good size rooms that were clean etc etc, our main reason for staying there was its location, it was a very short walk across the foot bridge to the centre of town. It took no longer than 10-15 minutes to get to the town square, which is absolutely stunning. Would highly recommend this hotel.
