We wanted to stay at the Parador in near Villafranca del Bierzo, but it was closed so we found this small B&B with restaurant. Its about 2km from the town, in the village of Corullon, which itself has an historic building. Our room and bathroom were smallish but carefully furnished and very clean. The restaurant opens at 9.00pm to guests and non residents. We enjoyed pre dinner drinks sitting outside the bar, on the ground floor, which is open to non residents, and where breakfast is served. The food in the restaurant is very simple, soup, cutlets and chips that sort of thing. On the night we dined it was all slightly undercooked, but edible, this seems to be the weakest part of the establishment, although the restaurant itself is very well nicely done with white linen tablecloths and sparkling glasses. This small property has been very carefully decorated and attention has been paid to detail and it has good views. A fine place to stay for a night or two.
