This four-year old property is on the outskirts of Toledo (there is a shuttle to the center) that is within a 16th century palace. The restoration is magnificent. The food is marvelous, with slight hints of molecular cuisine. You will not think you're in a Hilton when you eat here. The rooms are immaculate and well appointed and a Diamond upgrade has us in a junior suite. parking is under the hotel, convenient and easy.

The hotel is an easy 75 minutes from Madrid Barajas airport.

At first, was a little concerned that the Hotel was beyond walking distance from the old town. However, the free courtesy ride from the Hotel to the town MORE than makes up for this (also a taxi was only 6 Euros). The staff at the hotel seemed at pains to stress that this courtesy ride was subject to availability but we found that they always seemed to make every effort to honour it.
The room was fantastic and all the Hotel's facilties were exceptional, had a great dinner at one of the Hotel's restaurants.
Overall was particularly impressed by the (international) reception staff that were not only very friendly and gave very useful advice but also made us very welcome.

The hotel is near the town of Buena Vista and facing a highway. This detail is not clearly indicated on their website. Buena Vista is not a touristic attraction to put it mildly, but can be reached from the hotel over a neglected bridge that at night seems very uninviting.

If you do not mind walking a certain distance to go to Toledo, it is not so much the location that is off-putting, as the accessibility.

The hotel can arrange transportation to Toledo and/or the train station, and they informed that this was a free shuttle service. However, free actually means EUR 2.5 per person. Fine. So we booked this service to go to the train station more than 24 hrs in advance. But when we checked out we were informed that the driver had not appeared for work or had decided not to turn up. Perhaps this was due to the effect of the "Noche de Reyes" celebration. Of course, how silly of us!. And the taxi driver who took us to the station made us pay for his "Noche de Reyes". He thought that we were one of the three kings, I guess.

On the upside, the room was impeccable. Spacious, clean and bright.

We stayed here two nights using Hilton points. Although Hilton reservations will tell you they have no rooms that will accommodate a family of four, you can email the hotel yourself and request this. In our situation, the hotel also confirmed, via reply email, that 2 roll-away beds would be placed in the room and that breakfast would be included given our Hilton Gold status. Also with Hilton Gold status, we received an absolutely gorgeous and enormous room, with king-sized bed, 2 roll-away beds for our kids, and superb buffet breakfasts for the 4 of us. Room is equipped with many modern conveniences, including tea kettle w/ assorted teas and coffees, excellent state-of-the-art bath fixtures, and plenty of space. Lobby is gorgeous and gym is high quality. On the whole, the hotel surpasses most Hiltons and is more on the order of a Four Seasons / Waldorf. Astoria. Shuttles to the old city are complimentary and it's only about 5 mins. Hotel will also take you to the train station.
