Arrived ealy evening mid-week in March.Nightmare to find by car so dumped car and took a taxi..Toledo is centuries old so that was ok..BUT, I was gasping for dinner at 8pm ( or refreshement ) but bar and restaurant closed as was case the second night. Reception recommended two very average bar/restaurants nearby, well 10 mins walk..It had free Wi Fi but very limited TV channels.So glad I took the laptop.For a bedroom for the night it was great value to be fair,but am bemused as to it's 5 star rating.

Located in a prime spot in middle of beautiful Toledo, the Palacio Eugenia de Montijo is an upscale hotel set in the middle of an ancient city. Hard to drive to, but reachable following numerous signs. Garage parking next door - tight fit for maneuvering.

Inside "deluxe" room was fairly small with small bathroom and windows out-looking onto center hotel walls. Usual amenities, but no iron and non available in entire hotel. Otherwise, helpful staff and impressive lobby and public areas. Okay breakfast for charge - limited service, but ample buffet choices and nice room. Overall very nice upscale choice for in town lodging, with dirty hallway carpets, lack of iron and flaky wireless minor demerits for an otherwise luxury hotel in a former palace.

Very nice hotel, luxurious and fantastic location, The staff was very helpful and courteous. The room was lovely, super nice bathroom. I would definitely stay there again. Got a great deal through the internet.

We recently spent two nights at this lovely hotel in the heart of the medieval old part of Toledo. Our superior room was large and very pleasant. We only had breakfast at the hotel, which was very good. There is probably no better location if you want to be near to all the main sites and in the middle of the city. However, using the map supplied by the hotel, we spent about an hour trying to find it. Impossible. The streets are so many and so narrow and the map entirely inadequate. We ended up asking a taxi driver to lead us to the hotel. I don't believe we would have found it otherwise.
