The room was teeny-tiny but comfortable, more than adequate for our 1 night stay. It was very clean and the staff were sweet and helpful.
The walls were very thin though, and we could hear all movements in the room next door from early morning, not to mention the maid in the hallway.
The location is just slightly away from the commercial area - about 10 minutes walk from the central plaza, and 25 minutes walk from the train station (it's uphill if you are walking from the station to Hostal Sol, but this is fine if you only have small luggage).
I would stay there again if I was in Toledo for only one night, as it is resonably priced and clean, but if more than one night I would try somewhere a little nicer (where I might be able to sleep in).

The Hostal Sol is on a quiet street that ends in stairs so no traffic passes by. Our room was comfortable and quiet. Air conditioning was effective (important in July). The shower was very tight but that goes with the price. Going into Toledo is a short walk up-hill; overall the Hostal was a good value and very nicely located for anyone in normal health who doesn't mind a little walking.

I had decided to spend my first two days of my trip to Spain in Toledo. I stumbled upon the Hostal Sol on the internet. I was not disappointed. It was a great value and a short walk from many interesting sights. The room was clean with a great view to the valley below. I would stay there again the staff was helpful and friendly.
