We loved the Parador de Toledo with its exceptionally beautiful location with vistas over the entire city of Toledo. The hotel is highly recommended! The grounds are stunning and the rooms well appointed, very comfortable and luxurious, with thoroughly modern and well-equipped bathrooms of marble. The views are absolutely breathtaking and it is a very short taxi drive into the city. We had a car but were tired from driving and thought it would be more convenient just to taxi into town. We were glad we did. We could have spent a lot more time in Toledo but were glad we spent the night at least! It's a gorgeous, magical and unique place. Breakfast was very good and we ate dinner here as well, with a beautiful view over the city. The paradors serve locally influenced cuisine and our meal here was delicious. The paradors offer tremendous value if you purchase a five-night card (basically giving you half off of rooms if you purchase five nights usable throughout most of the country—an extraordinary value).

Position fantastic overlooking the old city- walkable in and back, though a bus service is available to about 400m away. Very friendly staff, other than being told there was no service available on the terrace (which has the best views). This despite there being a surcharge applicable for terrace service (which seems to be common around the paradors/north of Spain). Otherwise the rating would have been excellent. Room great - large and comfortable, with views again over the old city. Staff friendly and helpful (apart from the terrace service).

We stayed in 2 Paradors while traveling in Spain. The other one was in Ronda and what this one and the Ronda one had in common were spectacular views. We had a superior room with balcony view of Toledo and it was breathtaking. The room and bathroom were also quite large. My only complaint was the bed was too hard and the pillows too firm. Despite that I would still recommend the Parador as a good stay.

Our "road trip" in our open top sportster to central northern Spain had to include a parador and research suggested Toledo was not to be missed. And so it proved, Just driving up to Toledo on the river bank overlooking the City and heading towards the Parador we had to stop and get the camera out and pause to wonder.
The Parador itself was modern and rather classy and provided us with a very pleasant stay. We stayed in the Parador for dinner and whilst the atmosphere on the terrace overlooking the City was magical, the meal itself rated only 7/10.
The only problem is the distance the Parador is from the City (2 miles) and you would have to be mad to try and drive into the warren of twisty narow roads that exist in Toledo. Taxis are the only realistic option.
