We stayed in this hotel one night. We just walked-in and reserved a room on the spot for the night. The location is right next to the bus station, so it is very convenient for excursions into the old city.
The room was clean, but a little shabby. The breakfast was good and plentiful.
All in all, an OK stay for the money.

The hotel was average. It was noisy at night with people socializing in the courtyard. If you are a heavy sleeper then that is not a problem. We had no trouble once we had fallen asleep. The hotel was nicely situated next to the bus station, so it was nice that we didn't have to bring our luggage up any steep hill. To visit the sites, you need to go up a hill to the city center. There were no restaurants besides the one in the hotel close by. So if that restaurant is booked then you either eat at the bar or take a taxi to another restaurant. The room was a bit gloomy and smelled like smoke. We stayed one night and was glad to leave. The room was very spacious and tidy. Staff is nice. The breakfast was not impressive.

The room I was given, n. 205, had all sort of noises coming from the heating and/or piping system. I could barely sleep. The following morning I asked to move to a new room, and was given 317, where the same noise was at least more tolerable. In our party of six, two other travelmates complained about noise in the room.
I don't think I would go to this hotel again. Noise apart, the hotel in general was just average.

On a recent driving tour of the Madrid region we stayed at the Mayoral.

Our room was clean, of good size with a large bathroom. It did not have view - it overlooked a small courtyard - it was little gloomy unless you turned the lights on.

The breakfast was quite good if you have sweet tooth (cream cakes, sponge cakes, bread dipped in milk then coated in flour, sugar and nutmeg then fried!) otherwise acceptable. Be warned - it is an extra 6 Euros + tax per person extra so this can make the stay more expensive than it first seemed.

The modern hotel is located at the foot of the hill where old Toledo is located but the walk into town was not as hard as we first expected.

One evening we ate at the sister hotel, the Maria Christiana. the meal was excellent and was better value than many of the retaurants in Toledo. This hotel is in a large spectacular old building.

We had no complaints about the Mayoral, but if we visit Toledo again we might try somewhere else.
