“Nice hotel south of the river”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 June 2011

Maybe we have been unlucky so far, but we have learnt from personal experience that finding a good hotel in the centre of Toledo is not especially easy. This time, because we were arriving from the southwest by car and did not intend to visit the city, we chose to stay south of the river, a couple of kms away from the town centre. This turned out to be an excellent decision: for just 60 euros we had a simple, clean, air conditioned room with a superb balcony on a hot sunday June night with views north to Toledo. The bar has the same view, as does the restaurant, which was good. The poor waitress seemed a little overworked, but she was efficient and friendly. There is a nice swimming pool, and parking is private underground and free, so this is a great place to hide for a day or two. The hotel is isolated (and therefore quiet) so you need either to drive or use the hotel bar and restaurant, neither of which are especially expensive. I think you can take day tours of the old town with hotel pickup - but check that out. All in all much better than expected and therefore highly recommended.

“Amazing View”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 May 2011

We only stayed here one night but the view was great. Our private balcony over looked the city of Toledo. It was a typical Spanish room. They tend to push twin beds together to make a king bed. Other than that the room was comfortable and spacious. It is a little ways away from historic Toledo through some winding roads but the their are signs to help you find it.
I would stay again.

“Nice view, terrible breakfast, poor service.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2011

Stayed on Jan 1st and was pleased with location overlooking Toledo. Room was nice with balcony overlooking the city.
1st disappointment was to find out at 8:30pm that the restaurant was closed for the night, no mention of which was made when we checked in.
2nd disappointment was the breakfast, which was terrible. Certainly by far the worst we had during our travels in Spain. A few bread rolls, cheap ham, cheese, old fruit and yoghurts.
3rd disappointment was the absolute refusal to any sort of late check out. My wife was ill, the hotel almost empty and still there was no chance of extending the checkout time by a couple of hours.
I can understand some of the problems coming from the date of our stay but if they didn't want to provide any services they should have closed the whole hotel for the day.

“Beautiful view from room”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 November 2010

We needed parking and this had it - and free.
Being out of the town was a bonus - quiet, spacious, beautiful views and easy to get to.
Staff were helpful but with little english - but this is Spain so what's wrong with that!
Breakfast was good. We had a meal in the restaurant - a bit overpriced for what we had but we didn't have to travel far!
Room spacious and comfortable.
Pool was closed when we were there - despite high 20s temperatures.
A cold Sangria and Cervesa on the patio overlooking the city was worth coming for.

“Fantastic surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2010

This was a fantastic surprise; we traveled directly to the Hotel when arriving at the airport in Madrid. The Hotel has a nice pool area good and clean room and a fantastic view over the old town of Toledo. Secure parking in the basement of the Hotel.
The restaurant was good for the evening meal with the nice view over the old town. But the breakfast was not good at all; we decided to leave the hotel without having breakfast.
