Stayed 2 nights - chosen based on becoming a Marriott property. Very nice stay - had a room with terrific view of the old city. Hotel is on outskirts, away from the city. Transportation is needed to get to the sights and other activities. Fortunately, we had a car. Room was very nice but a bit small. Bathroom quite nice and spacious (relative to size of room). Hotel is a renovated tiling factory, so the walls are old but the inside was quite modern. Little storage space in the room, i.e., no dresser/chest. Great buffet breakfast. For those just experiencing AC hotel cahin for first time - they are not Marriotts. They have their own styles and have just been brought into the chain. However, good value for the price but not as fancy, as large or luxurious as a Marriott.

We drove to this hotel from the airport in Madrid arriving around noon. They had our room ready with a beautiful view of Toledo. It was on the main floor so wifi worked well in the room since it is available free in the lobby area. The bed had clean crisp white sheets and plenty of soft pillows for our jet lagged heads. The room was modern, very clean and plenty of complementary bath products. Everything in the minibar was free, but we did not know this until reading reviews two weeks later when booking another AC hotel in Madrid.

Free parking was available and effortless to roll bags up the sidewalk into the lobby. I'm not sure why other reviewers complained about needing help with luggage up one flight of stairs when you could simply use the sidewalk instead.

We enjoyed staying across the river from Toledo and walking on the nicely paved sidewalk over to the city. It was very easy and only took 5-10 minutes. If you walk in the other direction, there are a couple view points for photos of the Toledo skyline. We also enjoyed a finer dining restaurant next to the view point called La Ermita.

The downside to this hotel is that the staff did not speak english well and it was difficult to communicate at times.

The hotel is in desperate need of renovation....Marriott hotels should be ashamed to have such a hotel in their group. It is also unacceptable in our modern days, not to have a safe in rooms. I have written to the head offices of Marriott about this and NO RESPONSE from them at all. ....

We booked a room with a balcony. The views were spectacular.

Not the most modern design, but not old fashioned at all. I would say it is on the more stylish side of business-class hotels. Staff was very warm and helpful.

If you are driving, the hotel is a great option because it has a parking lot.

Location is nowhere near the city center, but it's a quick cab ride, and the views more than make up for it.
