Stayed at this small-friendly city centre for 3 nights with my partner and our 12 year old daughter in a large Family Room.
The room was spotlessly clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated with a huge bathroom with a walk in shower. The hotel had provided some toiletries which was unexpected in a 2 star.
The hotel staff were efficient, helpful and friendly and ther receptionists spoke English.
Breakfast (included in the room price) was taken in the cafe/bar adjoining the hotel. It was nice with fresh pastries or toast, fresh coffee and orange juice. the bar was reasonably priced and served food and drinks all day from 8:00- midnight.
Checkout was at 12:00, but you can leave your bags for as long as you need.
The hotel is in the city-centre, a 5 minute walk from the train and bus station. We took the bus from the airport, a 15 minute ride @ 1.70 euros, busses run every 1/2 hour.
Our room was opposite a lounge which had a couple of P.C's in it with free unlimited internet access, which meant our daughter could charge her i-pod and chat to her friends on MSN!
Santander was great, will certainly go back and would stay at the Alisas again.

I visited Santander for an International Conference (ICALT 2008) and I stayed at this hotel because some others were full. I really don´t know from were to start...the room was not clean, it smeled terrible, the carpet was filthy, it was noicy, no aircondition...and more..! Thank God I did not bring my wife with me..she would be furious that I would made her stay at this Hotel!!! Please DO NOT TRY IT.
In addition the Wi Fi din't work and the receiptionists had VERY HARD time to understand and speak any English!!

Myself and my girlfriend stayed at the Hotel for three nights and it was everything we hoped for. We arrived late into Santander late at night taking the bus from the airport (only 1.60euros very good) and the hotel was just round the corner. It was close to both the central bus station and the FEVE railway station. It is quite a way to the beaches but there are several buses and you are very near to the massive shopping district of Santander. Breakfast was good lots of litle cakes and pastries in plastic packets and good coffee, cereals, cheese, ham etc etc. The staff were friendly and they allowed us to stow our luggage there after we chekced out as our flight was not until late in the evening. Brilliant value for money would definetly stay again.

This Hotel, situated within 3 mins walking of the two railway stations, the main and local bus stations, and the Brittany Ferry terminal. Is a great place for people in transit or visiting Santander for a few days, I would not recomend it for an extended stay however. The rooms are well furnished, if a bit dated, the bathrooms etc. are very good with plenty of hot water, toiletries & towels.
The breakfast was, continental style buffet, and was adequate if a little uninspiring. The three mornings I sampled the fare showed no variety in the buffet. I had no further meals in the Hotel Dining room, however the 'cafeteria' attached to the Hotel served apetising snacks etc.
There are several other eating & drinking establishments in the area, those that I sampled proved excelent.
