My husband and I stayed here for one night and found it to be perfectly comfortable. We arrived early in the morning and they let us get organized, use their restrooms to freshen up and leaver our luggage until our room would be ready. The next day we were able to leave our luggage with them until that night (we were taking the overnight bus to Barcelona and it didn't leave until around 9 PM).
The room, the shared bathroom and the location were all great.
The only thing I might mention on the negative side had to do with the staff. Most everyone was friendly enough but it seemed odd that they wouldn't be more used to dealing with tourists. My Spanish is slow but I usually get by just fine. One woman at the hostel, who didn't seem particularly busy either time we talked to her, spoke so quickly (even when I asked her if she might please slow down) that it almost seemed like she was doing it on purpose and making fun of my incompetence - something I have never experienced anywhere else in my travels. It bummed me out.
Also, the staff didn't know if there were any public restrooms near the beaches which seems like an odd thing to not know if you work at a hostel or hotel in a beach town. We didn't need help with anything else like city buses, etc. so it is possible that they are highly knowledgable in other areas but I might recommend doing all your research before you arrive.
Still, it was a perfectly fine place to stay and afterall, they aren't promising tour services or English-speaking abilities.
Room Tip: I see no need to splurge on a room with private bath, the shared one was fine. Rooms seemed full but...
