The NH express has clean, comfortable rooms however its location takes a lot away from its attractiveness. Its located in a industrial estate 3 km from the town centre. 3km would usually be fine for walking to and from town but in this case you need to either walk through the industrial area or along a motorway so taking taxis or buses is a must. The buses that pass the hotel connect the town with a large shopping centre and as such tend to be packed. The staff in the hotel are friendly, however if, like me, your spanish is lacking...most of the staff have very limited english. There is a tv in each room but again only one english language channel. Another major problem for me was the internet access, there is no free internet and if you want wireless in your room it is €9 for an hour or €13 per 24 hour period. Quite expensive if you are staying for any period of time. The restaurant is nice however it closes on saturdays and sundays so you must travel to town to get dinner.

This hotel is midway between the airport and town centre and very convenient if you have a hire car as there is free parking. The hotel is modern and spotless with lovely bathrooms - ours had a huge walk in shower cubicle. It's also very reasonably priced. Getting into town is easy on the local bus or a it's short cab ride away. This isn't somewhere you'd stay for the environs as it's on an industrial estate - but it's great as a good value base if you are going to be out and about all day.

Near the airport, clean, modern cheap and comfortable with an excellent breakfast served from 7. Ideal.

I stayed in this hotel a few weeks ago, while attending a conference in Santander. I was pleasantly surprised.
This is a newly built hotel near the airport. Although it is not close to the town centre, it has a shopping centre, a cinema and frequent public transport into town all less than 5 minutes away on foot.
The room was inmaculate, with plenty of toiletries and a walk-in shower.
The buffet breakfast was also good, with a variety greater than most hotels of a higher price.
I would highly recomend this hotel.
