We booked on line as we are inclined to do these days, always a bit apprehensive as to what we will find at the end of our journey. Absolutely no need to worry, the hotel is 1st Class. We likened it to an up market Premier Inn.
The staff are friendly and speak enough English to allow someone like me with very little Spanish to communicate easily.
The rooms are spacious and clean, the shower/ shower room is probably the best I have ever encountered (we have stayed in numerous hotels all over the world).
There is not a restaurant in the hotel but if you are brave enough to try one of the numerous Tapas bars, they are good quality and reasonably priced (if not there is Burger King in the nearby Hyper Store).
The buffet breakfast in the hotel is superb, varied and plentiful. Even bean to cup coffee machines for a coffee freak like myself.
We will surely use this hotel again when we travel by ferry to Spain again.

We live in the middle of Spain and made a last minute decision to travel to Santander during Easter holidays. After hours spent searching for an available room, this hotel was the only one with anything to offer us, so we took what we could get and booked the room. The week of Easter (Semana Santa) is high season, so we paid the high season rate of 95€ per night.
The location is definitely pretty bad, with some type of huge factory right across the street. I would strongly advise against staying here unless you have a car, as it's a drive to get to the beautiful part of the city. While you're physically in/around the hotel you certainly don't feel like you're in Santander. WiFi Internet is free for 30 minutes in the lobby and they offer WiFi in your room for a steep hourly rate, which in today's day seems quite ridiculous.

Final thoughts: If your in a pinch and have a vehicle, go for it! It's a well-know chain hotel, so there is a certain since of predicability and the comfort that goes along with that. But if you have a time and have been due diligent enough to actually start planning your trip ahead of time, I would absolutely try to stay somewhere in the center of town and with less of a cookie-cutter franchise vibe. We stayed here for one night before boarding the Portsmouth ferry.
Ideally located about 2km from the ferry port. It may be on an industrial estate, but is easy to find. Has ample, secure, parking. And is quiet.
The staff were friendly and helpful and speak good English.
The rooms are spacious with all you need for an overnight stay (possibly longer). Thanks to the TDT service it is possible to change the TV language to English, although there is only one English News Channel.
There is no food available in the hotel in the evenings. There is, however, a Telepizza (Pizza Hut equivalent) service available to be delivered to your room! (Genius!) We did not take advantage of this service as there are numerous bars about a five minute walk away which serve food.
The buffet breakfast looked quite good, but we did not partake.
There is free WIFI in the lobby and a pay-per-use service available if you should want it.

Spent four nights at this hotel with my wife using it as a base for touring the Cantabria region of Spain.

The hotel is located in an industrial park 3 km from the centre of Santander. Don't worry about this. The hotel is well secluded and perfectly quiet at night. There is a large secure car park in front of the hotel so easy parking ( often a major problem in town centres in Spain). The location is perfect for visiting Santander and Cantabria by car. Not really suitable if you're on foot though.

Excellent, clean, good-sized rooms equipped with comfortable beds and all the necessary amenities: aircon, internet connection, TV etc. Spacious , well-designed bathroom. Good buffet breakfast (continental). Recommended if you're hungry first thing in the morning. Polite, efficient sevice by all the hotel staff.

We paid around 70 euros per night for the room which is excellent value considering the quality of the hotel. Provided you're in a car I would highly recommend this hotel.
