We stayed here for one night before boarding the Portsmouth ferry.
Ideally located about 2km from the ferry port. It may be on an industrial estate, but is easy to find. Has ample, secure, parking. And is quiet.
The staff were friendly and helpful and speak good English.
The rooms are spacious with all you need for an overnight stay (possibly longer). Thanks to the TDT service it is possible to change the TV language to English, although there is only one English News Channel.
There is no food available in the hotel in the evenings. There is, however, a Telepizza (Pizza Hut equivalent) service available to be delivered to your room! (Genius!) We did not take advantage of this service as there are numerous bars about a five minute walk away which serve food.
The buffet breakfast looked quite good, but we did not partake.
There is free WIFI in the lobby and a pay-per-use service available if you should want it.

Spent four nights at this hotel with my wife using it as a base for touring the Cantabria region of Spain.

The hotel is located in an industrial park 3 km from the centre of Santander. Don't worry about this. The hotel is well secluded and perfectly quiet at night. There is a large secure car park in front of the hotel so easy parking ( often a major problem in town centres in Spain). The location is perfect for visiting Santander and Cantabria by car. Not really suitable if you're on foot though.

Excellent, clean, good-sized rooms equipped with comfortable beds and all the necessary amenities: aircon, internet connection, TV etc. Spacious , well-designed bathroom. Good buffet breakfast (continental). Recommended if you're hungry first thing in the morning. Polite, efficient sevice by all the hotel staff.

We paid around 70 euros per night for the room which is excellent value considering the quality of the hotel. Provided you're in a car I would highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here overnight having travelled up from Salou by motorbike for the ferry to Plymouth the next day. Despite its location on an industrial site - its a comfortable and clean hotel with friendly staff. We availed of the secure underground parking at a small cost p/day, however, there is also an open car park within the hotel grounds. Food is served until 11pm mid week, convenient if you arrive late...as we did. Well situated for the ferry.

The NH express has clean, comfortable rooms however its location takes a lot away from its attractiveness. Its located in a industrial estate 3 km from the town centre. 3km would usually be fine for walking to and from town but in this case you need to either walk through the industrial area or along a motorway so taking taxis or buses is a must. The buses that pass the hotel connect the town with a large shopping centre and as such tend to be packed. The staff in the hotel are friendly, however if, like me, your spanish is lacking...most of the staff have very limited english. There is a tv in each room but again only one english language channel. Another major problem for me was the internet access, there is no free internet and if you want wireless in your room it is €9 for an hour or €13 per 24 hour period. Quite expensive if you are staying for any period of time. The restaurant is nice however it closes on saturdays and sundays so you must travel to town to get dinner.
