Decent reasonable hotel close to a beach. You need to pay WiFi in a hotel room but overall we are satisfied. Although it is a stone away from the nearby beach, you need to be lucky to have a nice weather in Santander so you need to prepare for it. With deep pocket, you can enjoy casino as well. It is open till 4AM.

I was there for a business trip. The hotel is quite big (more than eight floors), very well kept and located in a wonderful position (like 50 meters from the beach, with a breathtaking sight of the ocean). The main drawbacks are the noise during the night (the walls are very thin) and the wifi connection, very important if you are there for work (it is very slow and it is free only in the hall, you have to pay like 6 euro/day to get it in your room). The breakfast is plentiful and complies more or less with all the world styles of having breakfast. The bathrooms are excellent, with everything you may need.The other services are very good (cleaning etc) but the cleanup crew is a little too noisy (if you need silence in the morning it might be annoying). The prices are fair with respect to what you can get.

On the outside hotel looks very dated, however, the rooms are nice. The beds and linens were very comfortable. The rooms were a good size and clean. The staff was friendly. The hotel is NOT near the center but there is a bus stop right next to it. It takes about 5 minutes to get downtown.There are some nice restaurants near the hotel but a bit pricey. Several ice-cream places which were absolutely delicious. Pans & Company (sandwich fast food) is within a 10-minute walk; delicious and cheap.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

This hotel is excellently located just back from the great promenades and beaches, as well as the bus stops and quite a few restaurants. Lots of lovely walks in all directions through this beautiful, well-behaved yet lively resort. It reminds me of Cornwall or Jersey, with a touch of Monte Carlo. Santander is very popular with Spanish family people, and that is possibly the only language you will hear in your surrounds. I took a very good tour to west Cantabria but it was all in Spanish, yet I enjoyed seeing the sights. Santander city centre is a short bus or taxi ride away and you can take some good boat trips from the quays. There is also a hop-on hop-off bus.
