We booked this through Tenerife Country Villas, who we found very helpful, and have used since. This is about a mile from the Place del Charco, and the Lido, but very close to a really nice beach with a wonderful beach bar serving tapas and danish pastries to die for from dawn to dusk. We got very fit this holiday, walking most days after breakfast along the atlantic sea wall into Puerto proper (NOT recommended in very bad weather, a few get swept off killed every year, but an ESSENTIAL part of any visit) which is where my wife would just stand mesmerised by the huge crashing waves and spray. The apartments were large, with huge balconies. Our balcony (ground floor, so more of a terrace, really) had the amenity of a banana tree just by it! The entrance hall has to be seen to be believed! Its open to the sky, and you could hold a party for 500 in it, and the apartment doors lead off it at the various levels. In the evenings we would walk back to the apartment, get changed, and often walk back again for dinner, although there were a few nice restaurants locally.
