“nice hotel”

the hotel was clean and tidy, towels changed daily room cleaned daily sheets changed twice on a seven day break.Staff were helpful and friendly, food was good but not so good for vegetarians. The hotel is mainly geared towards German and Spanish guests,so look out for towels on the sunloungers! Otherwise we had a good time and would recommend this hotel to others.

This hotel is manly for Spanish with a few Engish and german guests We stayed 1/1/12 to 10/1/12 and had a quite and good holiday a car is essential as it is a 15 minute walk to to seafront The food was a wide range of basic meats and veg well cooked and plenty of it the drinks flowed freely when required.Rooms modern and tidy, cleaned every day bathroom was spot less. If you like to holiday with only other British people and dont drive this place is not for you.We had agreat time

This was the worst holiday for an English person! Staff were very rude and made us feel incredibly uncomfortable! I would not recommend this to anyone! There are better places for your money! Note: to any English people considering, I have been to Tenerife several times and would highly recommend the south :)

“A little outdated”

Just back from the hotel La Paz in puerto De La Cruz Tenerife.
The hotel is set out on two sides of a fairly busy road connected by an underpass which can only be accessed by a flight of stairs from the main reception. We booked two twin rooms all incusive for 6 nights. The rooms are adequate but dated with woodchip on the walls the bathroom is small but the shower blows the skin off you (brilliant). No telephones installed in the rooms and a small tv which we didnt turn on. The rooms were clean and the sheets were changed twice during our stay.
The hotel is placed high up on the cliffs above the town with a lot of steps down (and up) the hotel provides an hourly shuttle service but to use it you will need to get there at least 30 mins before it leaves , it only has 20 seats. The hotel caters mainly for German and Spanish (older) guests the food reflects this with masses of pork and ham at each meal. The food on the whole was fair with a good selection. The pool area was clean with a full time lifeguard we had no problems securing sun beds each day and there was no evidence of placing towells at stupid times.
The biggest let down in my opinion was the nightly entertainment consisting mainly of a cross dresser miming to dodgy spanish songs and shoving blokes heads up its dress. (NOT FUNNY) The Germans and Spanish seemed to love it as with the disco with songs from the 50,s again German and Spanish. After two nights of this we started going out before the entertainment started.
If you are looking for a very quiet holiday then this may suit you but the average age of the guests is well over 55 so dont expect fireworks of a night. The town is more or less the same , loads of resturaunts but very few dedicated bars.

Would I go back to this hotel... NO would I go back to Puerto De La Cruz......NO

Room Tip: Make sure that you get a room on the same side of the hotel as reception or you will have a hike.

“Very very dissapointing”

The staff were very pretentious and 2 faced as they smiled and behaved all nice as if all was well.
first we got dropped off on the road by the bus driver, who was smiling and nice when he picked us up, and dropped us across the road and said there's is your hotel to our greatest shock! we were a family of three...2 adults and a baby, two big suitcases, a buggy and two hand luggage and this guy dropped us off on the road 5mins walk with all these items in a new country and place we never been before!...lovely eh?! ah i missed to mention, he said he put the AC on in the car in the bus but boy o boy it was just the fan he had put on and open his on side of the window and left us in the back to cook.
then we walked in to the hotel, checked in, first night i thought eh maybe the AC is just coming though...but this carried on for 4days and complained of the AC and were then told ohh...there's a problem with the whole hotel central AC system that very day we complained and it was going to be fixed right away. i said it has been bad all week since we came and to my surprise the nicety ended and the concierge was upset and stopped speaking english?! saying the AC was bad for that day and would be fixed in no time...
well i ended up spending that night again without AC bringing it to 4days into our 12days hols....next was the smoking...practically everyone smoked and they smoke everywhere they could except inside their rooms but practically right next to their rooms and our rooms, front entrance of the hotel, balconies, swimming pool, everywhere so annoyingly it came into our rooms all day and night plus we asked for a non smoking room and we had our baby there too....but it was so frustrating and carried on so we insisted after the 5th day for another room as the smoking from out neighbors and passerbys was just too much to bear particularly in the mornings and mid-day and late at night....
so they gave us another room which turn out better in regards to free from passive smoke, but new issue....well same issue of not functioning ACs!.....AC here wasn't working perfectly but it was manageable till it starting reeking out the most disgusting smell one can imagine....initially we thought it was the toilets but later about 2days more we found out it was from the AC unit, so complained again and surprise surprise hotel staff acted as if it was news to them and this was the 8th day of our stay and we couldn't be bothered changing rooms again as it was going to be another issue we weren't ready for! so we asked them to come and fix it...surprisely they never did fix it so we stayed all through the rest of our hols in room reeking out the most awful smell you can imagine from the ac unit and not fully functioning ac unit, sleeping with the balcony doors open.
now comes the hotel cleaning service, gosh from the first day we noticed how manky the floors were and 3rd day we had to ask for our bedsheets to be changed as the cleaners some how forget to change it? so when they now managed to do this they still couldn't mop the floors or hoover or sweep the floors properly...it was so disgusting.
next is the food, boy o boy, recycled daily...the vegs were were recyled till the chef was sure it was done/finished, then the fish was either rotten/stale or the sauce was the most rancide smell and taste we've ever come accross, eventually we stopped eating in the hotel and starting eating out and that was so much better...so obviously the hoteliers are just to my conclusion cheats and malicious....and i would never stay in hotel La paz again even if it were free....the hotel is certainly not a 4star, its not a family friendly hotel, its programs or entertainment are scams and meagre, the animacion or kiddies entertainment was diabolical and next to rubbish! the hotel didn't have a first aid kit or plaster because my son cut his hands in the bathroom tub glass door and i had to buy plaster myself, the drinks of the all inclusive was a joke, the sangria was just diluted wine and a strip of orange, the pina colada...absolute joke, just clearly pineapple juice and a shot of vodka and ice...argh!! cheap awful draft beer, and rest was off the menu in the bar....and they claim it was all inclusive?? wat a scam!
absolute joke!

Room Tip: if have to stay there, do not stay in the ground or 1st floor rooms, else you would get constant 2nd...
