“Large aparthotel with heated outdoor pool with stunning views of the mountains and the sea”
Stayed there end of Feb beginning of March. This aparthotel is a little old fashioned with telephone booths still present at the ground floor by the elevators. In this day and age there should be more WiFi points available at the hotel lobby rather than just two computers with internet where one was out of action. The reception was OK. The rooms looked like have been been re-decorated recently, with white colours instead of dark wood.
Good points - heated outdoor pool, very comfortable especially in the late afternoons when the weather becomes cooler. We were surprised how warm the water was in one sunny day, it was even too warm to chill out, felt like having a warm bath. But our child absolutely loved it.
Close to the beach and to town centre - making it easy to spend a day on the beach than go for a walk into town centre with all the shops, and places to eat and enjoy the local athmosphere.
Close to local food shops.
Bar with life music in the hotel, attracting older people.
Rent a car is available right by the hotel and travel centre offering trips and excursions.
Very quiet, peaceful athmosphere. It is very good for older people (plenty of them) and families with children. Younger people and groups of them might find the hotel too boring.
Close to Loro Parque - a pleasant 10-15 minutes walk to a "must see de Canarias". Loro Parque deserves a special separate description and praise.
Heard about Fitness centre and sauna but not managed to visit those facilities.
Negative points - kitchen equipment is too basic and out of date, such as aluminium kettle, cutlery, etc. Some beds are quite used making a squeaky noise.
The most important thing is a card key. It never worked from the first attempt. It got on our nerves that we had to come downstairs and ask reception to try out different cards.
TV set is old and dated, and there was no remote control. There could have been more choice of TV channels in other languages.
Overall, it is a 3 star aparthotel, and its closeness to the sea and town centre combined with an eternal warm weather in Tenerife make it a very pleasant memories. Trying to escape cold European winter this year it was a lucky escape, the weather stayed sunny throughout all of 9 days of our stay.
