With this hotel, you get what you pay for to a certain extent. The rooms are adequate and the en suites are kept clean. Everything is a little old and in need of updating. The soundproofing is practically non-existent, it is possible to hear conversations in surrounding rooms and in the corridors. The amenities are also adequate - an internet room with free Wi-Fi, a small pool and a games room with a pool table and a table tennis table, and a reading / television room. (The rooms do not have their own TVs). All could do with an update and an injection of style, but this is not really an issue.
Staff are very friendly and helpful, assisting with organising day trips, car hire and are happy to take messages, and translate if required.
The hotel really falls down on its food offerings. Breakfast is buffet style and kept warm for hours and intermittently topped up, but is not really any worse than any other cheap hotel. The evening meal is lousy. Other than salad and pasta which is served every evening, there only really seems to be one option of a main course, and one dessert option. Drinks are not included in the half-board catering option (not even any soft drinks). Again, the dinner options kept warm for a while, and the food offered is very cheap and nasty - a kind of miserable school dinner.
A budget hotel with cheap rooms, friendly and helpful staff, and bad food.
