Ok were do I start me and my partner went there for a week away for christmas, we booked the hotel over the net and the hotel resembled none of the pictures. Only the lobby looked vaguely familiar.
The place its self is set at the top of a few steep hills, there was cars trying to get up the hill and could only get up by revving it first gear. So it was quite a walk into the town centre if you fancied eating out like we did I would be prepared and I recommended not wearing high heels lol. The towns its self is a great place to be the food is great and quite cheap. There are also a lot of places to visit and a train to Loro parquet which I recommend if you want to see dolphins, sea lions, Penguins etc lol.
Ok back to the hotel it is more for people 65+ to be honest that’s the age range that was there except for a few German couples so we kept well away from the nudist swimming pool as you can imagine. Are room over looked what I can only say looked like a bit of a building site with rubbished in there as well.
The hotel is quite dated. The room was clean and spacious can't complain there. The food was a buffet of all cold meats and cheese for breakfast so great if you love meat ,not so good if you are a fussy eater, so we went into town when we were hungry. The staff in the restaurant where lovely and very quick/helpful unlike at the desk where you had to wait ages for someone to realize you were standing there and were very off with us when we checked out.
The reason why the plantation is so green is because it rains quite a bit in the North compared to the South. We checked out of the hotel after just 3 days and went to another one.The other hotel was in San Miguel in the south it was great and we enjoyed the rest of our holiday.
Do not have any photos developed yet but when i do i will add them.

“Awfully noisy”

This "hotel" is more a place where you can stay but at your own risk.

The staff is distant and not willing to make your stay better.

The breakfast buffet is just a big rugby match, where you feel worse after, because the choice is there so you keep on fetching new things and they all taste the same.

The place is so out of town, the closest thing is the motorway.

And THE NOISE is god awful. During the day people talk loudly and in the evening they go out and come back late and first thing in the morning the cleaning staff start moving the furniture around. AAAAGH we havent had a night sleep in a whole week.

The pool is just a dirty small place, without anything for the children as promised on their site.

If you can avoid this place, just do it.

“For the older generation”

Difficult hotel to find and a bit dated. It would really need a bit of paint and a refurbishment. The staff was helpful, ample parking, clean hotel but far from the beach. This hotel is more geared towards the older generation. When I was there, most of the guests were over 65. Playing cards in the foyer and dancing walse were the night entertainment. After 2 days, I just met a couple of guests under 40. I didn't bother trying the nudist swimming pool on the rooftop...

We made a late booking to have a week away in early September. This was our first package holiday usually making our own arrangements. This didn't put us off. We had a great time. Location and facilities good, friendly staff and a very reasonable selection at breakfast for non-meat eaters. Rooms were very comfortable and the kitchen facilities were handy. Choice of three pools with the roof-top naturist pool and terrace offering the best sun bathing and was usually more peaceful than the others. There is though no air conditioning in the apartments which wasn't a problem for us but might make it a little uncomfortable in summer. Located on a hill a little way from the main centre, we often walked into town and back up the hill, but there is a shuttle bus. Puerto Cruz is a pleasant town with some of its old town character remaining. if we ever plan to visit Tenerife again, we would certainly use this hotel again.

  • Liked — Comfortable accommodation and friendly staff
  • Disliked — Lack of air conditioning
  • Tips/Secrets — Hire a car for a few days to visit Mount Taide and other sites away from the town.

“A great place”

I just came back from the Parque Vacational Eden, where I spent a week with my girlfriend there. I really loved the place and location, although it is located on a steep hill overlooking Puerto de la Cruz. The hotel is popular with German tourists, but there are British and other nationalities as well. We took a room with a kitchenette, and the formula included breakfast. The hotel features 3 nice swimming pools, has a very beautiful park, and we loved breakfast there (with self-service buffet, and different every morning). The staff seemed very helpful, and there is a sense of a relaxed atmosphere about the place. I would definitely go back.
