Just arrived back from a one week, reasonably last minute break to Tenerife.
Suprised to read the other reviews saying that this hotel is a 4* as in my opinion it would be a 3* at a push.
I stayed in a twin room on a self catering basis with my mum.
The bedroom itself was basic with two single beds.
The living area was reasonably spacious with a sofa, table and set of drawers - however there wasn't enough space to put away all of our belongings in the wardrobe and drawers, and there certainly weren't enough hangers to use in the wardrobe - so if you are planning on staying here make sure you take some of your own!
Kitchen/cooking facilities - as one of the pictures on this site shows you get a two burner electric hob and a fridge.... There is no kettle, no toaster, no microwave and no oven - fortunately our intention was not to eat in a lot or else we would have struggled.
The rooms are cleaned everyday except Saturday's when the cleaners rest. I have never experienced this before in a hotel and wasn't overly impressed - however when the room was cleaned they did a good job.
We had an apartment that was situated directly above the child's play area which got noisy on the weekends with childrens parties... Not so good when you're taking a lie down for a siesta but good if you have children of your own as the kids seemed to love it.
The bar in the hotel is reasonably priced at €1 per glass of wine and €2 for a pint of Dorada, which was a nice place to meet up with the family before heading into town (which is about a 10 minute walk to the square with no overly steep hills).
We found the reception/security staff quite helpful - the main doors are closed at midnight however reception is staffed 24hr so you just have to ring the buzzer.
The pool looks a lot bigger than it is in the hotel's official photos - however with the time of year we stayed and the pool not being heated it was a bit too nippy to go for a swim. Also, I can imagine during peak season it would be difficult to get a sunbed as we struggled one day getting up on the roof at 10am.
Final point to note if planning to visit in the summer - there is no air conditioning in the rooms! Ok for us in November - don't fancy it in July!
All in all though we had a fabby holiday... And this hotel was value for money... Next time I may just spend a few pennies more.
