Went here with Mercury Direct for 3 weeks self catering. Good supermarket just up the road and a Hyper Dino round the back so there are no shortage of supermarkets. This hotel is also on the flat, so no great climbing required to get to it. Some of the other hotels are way up the hillside so are a little remote from services and the town centre - these things matter.
Room fairly basic but perfectly adequate. Had no problems at all. This was our second visit.
Unfortunately there were road works all around the hotel which created quite a lot of noise. It didn't affect us at all as we were out and about most days - by the time we left the works were coming to an end.
Room Tip: During winter you need one that gets the afternoon sun, not the morning sun. Higher floors get sun...
