Nothing much wrong with this hotel but try to make sure you get an upstairs room even if it costs a bit more. Nothing really wrong with our room below the pool and garden area. Reasonably comfortable and spacious and kept very clean. Mattresses a bit saggy so could do with renewal. Decent views of the town and a side view of the sea from the enclosed balcony with large windows that can slide open. However I do think that a brighter upstairs room with much better views from open balconies would have added significantly to our enjoyment of the hotel. Unfortunately the hotel was full when we were there, so it was not possible to change rooms
The hotel is not far from the sea front promenade and town centre but given it's lofty position, there is a bit of climbing involved on the return journey if you are on foot. Not great if you are feeling a bit tired or lacking in mobility.
We were on half board and the buffet food was fairly good with a wide variety on offer. It did however generally lack excitement and suffered from the usual buffet problem of keeping the food hot and fresh tasting. So it was usually best to go for food prepared freshly by the chef on the hot plates where fish and roast meat was available in the evening and fried eggs and omelettes served at breakfast.
Staff service is very good.
