I stopped 9 night's at the hotel, It was very quite, I found the breakfast selection very good, you could eatall you wanted too.
The rooms were spotless
The reception staff were very helpful
Excellent location and reasonably cheap

the buffet food is not so good,only for guest who want to eat very cheap.
puerto de la cruz is full of good restaurants with cheap and good food

The good - the central location couldn't be beat, the staff were friendly. Large clean rooms, spacious rooftop pool and terrace.
The bad - not all rooms have balcony. Central location also means noise at night and the church bells every 15 minutes grate the nerves.
The ugly - the food is awful. Breakfast was congealing buffet, nasty machine coffee and juices, very poor. Dinner was a hit and miss buffet at the sister hotel, you may decide to give that a miss on a few nights.

I stayed here with my family for 2 weeks in september. the staff really made our holiday wonderful they were sooo lovely, friendly and helpful.

I wouldnt recommend this hotel for anyone using pushchairs or wheelchairs as there are no rooms on the ground floor and the lifts are VERY NARROW! we couldnt fit our double buggy in it and ended up having to carry our kids up 4 flights of stairs!!!

the rooms are cleaned everyday and beds made up etc which was lovely, rooms are a good size however there is NO AIRCON! so hot to sleep also the bin lorrys come past very late at night which is quite noisey! there are windows in the bedrooms but are low down so we had to close ours because of the children it was a dead drop to the floor! so maybe bring a fan if you can!!

the only thing that really bothered us was the food!!! we went half board and breakfast wasnt too bad if you like very well done bacon, eggs, and toast everyday, but the evening meal (which was in another hotel round the corner) was fish, fish and more fish everyday which got a bit boring! even the pasta, and side dishes were full of prawns and shells etc.

The roof top pool was my favourite part, very small so not many people used it which was great for us with our 2 year old! sun beds and shades, the pool was not heated and was rather chilly though but was so quiet and peaceful to sunbathe!

I would highly recommend going to loroparque (killerwhale and dolphin shows etc at this park for a good price) also in the area is a massive lido for 3.50 euros a day which was a lovely day out. we didnt get to go to the volcano but i heard it was amazing. also the local beaches are all black sand but are still nice and the local surfboard rent was cheap. and there is a childrens play park just down the road too which was being re-done last week.

all in all we had a lovely trip and would consider going back again...maybe when our kids are old enough to lug themselves upstairs and maybe next time go self catering!!
