The hotel is in the centre of Puerto de La Cruz with easy access to shops and
restaurants. The room was comfortable and clean but only had a shower so if you like a bath
then be sure to request one. The balcony with sea view was lovely but caught the
wind and lacked any sunshine at this time of year. The sun was only on the pool area
in the morning which was a real downside as nowhere else in the hotel got the sun in the
afternoon either. Pool is heated and very pleasant for a swim even if the air temperature is a bit chilly. Breakfasts were good but evening meals average - a bit of an odd selection sometimes and not always hot. The staff are generally helpful and friendly.

The resort is a mix of old and modern architecture and is bustling even in December
(more Spaniards and Germans than Brits). Lots of nice restaurants and shops and prices are quite reasonable. The Loro Parque is well worth a visit although quite pricey at 33 euros pp it is value for money when you see all the birds, animals and gardens. Mount Teide well
worth visitng too. Theres a travel agent right opposite the hotel entrance to arrange trips.

We stayed at the Beatriz Atlantis just before Christmas. The location is ideal at the end of the promenade and we paid a little extra for a room for a sea view which was well worth it. The balcony didn't get a lot of sun in the day time but it was pleasant to sit out on in the evenings and watch the waves.

The room itself was a little on the small side but was nicely decorated. The carpets in the corridors are very heavily stained and don't give a good first impression.

The restaurant was nicely set out and there was an excellent variety of food. The 'theme' nights were slightly less successful than they could of been as the chef seemed reluctant to add any spice to the Mexican night or the oriental themed evening. Waiting staff were efficient but not overly friendly.

The biggest disappointment was that the indoor pool was not free to use and it would have cost 24 euros for the two of us to spend an afternoon there. Although the outdoor pool was heated, the whole pool area was in the shade by about 1pm.

The hotel overall is quite nice, the rooms are clean unless you want to use the extra blanket from the wardrobe, the smell was AWFULL!!! (completely ruining the clean feeling). The approach of the restaurant staff was quite bad, they forced us to sit outside in the wind, just because we were a big group (conference). The waiters were rude, refusing to speak any other language than spanish (which is a shame for 'supposedly 4* hotel). They created the feeling that I'm there for them and not the other way. On the other hand, the food was very good, thought whomever comes late won't have any, since they don't refill the buffet. I would simply not recommend this place for a pleasant stay.

highly recommend this hotel for cleanliness, friendly staff, food and centrally situated. however if you are thinking of visiting Tenerife, most advisable you visit during Carnival time when the place is at its best
