A very clean and comfortable hotel. Room looked just like the picture. We had bed and breakfast, breakfast was good very with a reasonable choice. I must say they had the best bacon I have seen in a Spanish hotel. The pool is on the roof top and very small. The location is excellant in that it a few metres form both the beach and the harbour. The beach is clean and sandy. Second visit to Las Palmas, love it. Great shops too, what more could you ask for!!

Places to eat:- El Acueducto is must if you like meat and the best host.

If you are looking for a hotel in Las Palmas, then this is one to consider. The problem with hotels in the city is that most are old, but this is not the case with Hotel Cantur. Everything looks new, the decoration is tasteful, the beds and pillows are great and the room and common areas are kept very clean by the staff. I thought that the hotel was cheap considering the quality of the rooms.

Breakfast is buffet style with great variety: you have different types of bread, cereals, juice, cheese, ham, beans, eggs, fruit...

The staff at the reception try to be nice, but overall I thought that they had an attitude that was too informal and a bit nonchalant. Staff at the breakfast area have the obnoxious habit of removing your dish seconds after you've finished and while you're still on the table, which kind of looks as if they're trying to stop you from repeating the food.

The streets around the hotel are not very pretty, but the area is safe and very close to Las Canteras beach. You're also close to Park Santa Catalina, where you can take buses to the centre of the city and to other parts of the island. El Corte Inglés is just a 15 minutes walk, in case you want to shop.

I was booked in here for a period of one month while working in Las Palmas. After the receptionist informed me that my agreed rate had been increased by 25%, and that they wanted me to pay for my entire stay on arrival, I went to the AC Gran Canaria instead.

If you like surprises, bad ones, then this is the hotel for you. If you want a relaxed stay while in Las Palmas, go somewhere else.

WORST SERVICE I'VE EVER ENCOUNTERED! Rooms and hotel was ok, but the staff was extremely rude.
The charged my credit card double for my room, and when i tried to contact them by phone and email no one cared to answer. Had to actually travel to the hotel to get anyone to listen, and when I did, the lady in the reception was awful. She told me that there was no way i was right and that i basically was stupid. Service is non-existing. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Receptionist was the most obnoxious person I've ever met. Awful awful awful!!! Stay at the AC hoteles in stead. Better hotel and nice staff. Stay away from the hotel cantur!!!!!
