Never ever again! The room was dirty when we arrived (especially toilet sit... definitely not nice beginning of your vacations...). Also Las Palmas is awful, not for vacation place. It was Black! sand on the Beach. Only place where you feel safe and clean is shopping center (it takes 20 minutes to go there from hotel). Thanks to Fritidsresor personal for their help to move us the same day far far away from unpleasant "holiday" place!

Be sure to bring your reservation confirmation w/ all the details with you! We booked an ocean-view terrace, but we were given an ocean-view with no terrace, but since I had proof of what we booked we were able to switch. We also paid in advance for breakfast and they did not have proof of that either, but we were also able to get that fixed. I would definitely reccommend that you get the breakfast with the price of the room. It's half the cost that way. Plus, breakfast was really good. There aren't a lot of places to get breakfast on the boardwalk, so you're not out looking for food 1st thing in the morning.
They need to update their site! They claim to have an indoor pool, but it's now part of the spa which is an extra cost. The "solarium" is just a nice name for a large ocean view terrace for those who do not have sea side rooms. It was trashed when we went up there. The housekeeping staff was very nice, as were the front desk staff. There are two computers for Internet in the lobby, but they are not free. Overall, we had a good stay, but I wouldn't stay there again. I would probably head to the southern end of the island.

Location
North of the Island, although this WONT effect my hotel rating, we had bad weather in the North the entire stay, great weather in the South. Be aware that if you want sun, its better to book the South unless you want to take the bus every day. (We were told by many locals, this is often the case, great weather in the south, while it could be lousy in the North) Theres some nice restaurants around the hotel and the beach, weather permitting, is also nice.
Staff
Average at best. Check em in, check em out. Felt like a burger in mcdonalds. They werent rude in any way but I felt like it was a bit of a stretch when I asked from some local info, not that polite either.
Rooms
Again, no frills. Expected more, if I hadnt known I would have thought it were a two star.
Facilities.
Gym, if you choose this hotel because it has a gym, think again. VERY POOR. I dont expect a great gym but im sure NO free weights, one bench and a total of no more than 50 kilos does NOT make a gym. If you still chOose the hotel, theres a GREAT gym round the block, 2 minutes walk. (in ratings for fitness centre, im saying NO)
Spar is nice but you have to pay an extra, we had it to ourselves pretty much both times we went. Dont think its free for guests cos its not, (it does mention that on the website).
Food.
We were told it was a buffet deal. When I asked I was told it MIGHT be a menu and not a buffet, but the price will remain the same, as the hotel is low on guests. If you, as a FOUR star hotel advertise a buffet and Im paying, I want a buffet. Ate out everyday instead.
Overall - for a two star it would score well, as a four star, will never go back.

We stayed one night and checked out asap. We paid extra for our rooms and got singles.
One of the rooms did not have a shower cubicle just a shower curtain pulled around the plughole and the smell was awful. No-one had a good nights sleep due to the wind blowing thru the windows!! altho they were not open. We cannot understand has this hotel has four stars! We checked into the Santa Catalina and enjoyed a first class service. We are awaiting reply from travel agent with their comments.
