Hotel is situated right in front of Las Canteras which is perfect if one wants to spend time at the beach.

We had a double room with bathroom (bathtub with shower). Room felt a bit small cause the bed was so huge. There was air conditioning, minibar and a writing table. Some rooms also had a safe but ours was at the reception. Our room had a balcony facing the sea and it was really nice.

Our price included the buffet breakfast. There was a lot to choose from, lots of sweet delicacies. The sparkling wine was a nice touch! We didn't try restaurant's lunch or dinner.

Because our room was facing the sea and the promenade in front of the hotel some noise came through but mostly the room was quiet. Staff at the reception were friendly and spoke English.

There's a supermarket near by and many great restaurants. Internet connection is free only at the reception area.

i have stayed in NH Imperial Playa hotel in Las Palmas ( Gran Canaria ) one week in March 2010 for business days and weekend for days off . it was my third stay in this hotel
generally good : location great - right at the beach ( especially if you have balcony with sea view ) , staff friendly , breakfast - o'k , however choise of food is not changing at least witihin last 3 years . There are a couple problems , which i do not like defenitely - there is not any patio ( with swimming pool or park or something like this ) . also internet wifi tariff in the rooms is not cheap ( normally free or much less )

We stayed here 7 nights having choosed the hotel mainly for the view over the ocean.
Good things: the location. Bad things: a lot - there is no gym or pool, dinner was not a buffet , instead we had to choose from 2-3 choices of a menu, brakfast is very basic (you have to ask for hot food like fried or boiled eggs which means a lot of waiting) and the rooms are small. The NEw Years Eve dinner was the saddest i ever had - no music and it was over by 22.00, and the waiters were completely unable to handle the situation.
I would always come back gladly to Gran Canaria but not here.

The hotel is conveniently located near the beach with a view of the sea. It's clean and comfortable. One can stayed in much better hotels in touristic cities paying considerably less (not sure if its the case in Las Palmas). I would say that it's too expensive for what it offers, but still a viable option. Breakfast is "average"; the staff is very supportive and professional. They offer wireless Internet access but the cost is absurd.
