this was our second stay at the GC Princess - the standard was still as good as ever, the food is excellent and the staff are friendly and helpful. The meals were well organised and there was not too long a wait for meals, and they were always kept fully stocked. there was always a range of fish and meats, including food cooked on the grill, the theme nights, two a week, were also good. the rooms are a liittle noisy as you are near to the road but not excessively so. the walls are a liittle "thin" but most people seem to respect this.Rooms at the back (odd numbers) of the hotel get the sun in the morning and those at the front (even numbers) get the sun in the afternoon on their balconies, but there is plenty of room around the outside of the hotel.
The resort itself is tired and very "Blackpool" in the centres such as Yumbo full of tourist tat. the resort like the hotel seems to be very German focussed - there is supposedly a hotel rule about NOT reserving loungers but the Germans still put their towels out first thing in the morning - it was great the day it rained!
the hotel has a lot going for it and there is a lot to do for families.

If you have difficulty sleeping, don't stay here for three reasons. Firstly, next to one boundary is a noisy dual carriageway. Secondly, the curtains are so thin that they let in a large degree of the resort's all-night flood lighting. Thirdly, and worst of all, the sound insulation is so poor that you can hear your neighbours' conversations, television and doors closing.
Otherwise, the grounds were delightful and the buffet food was very varied and enjoyable.

We came here for vacation and the hotel and staff were wonderful. But, we booked our trip with alltours and they were horrendous. They changed our flight when we got here which completely messed up our schedule for the next day ( seeing how we both had to work). The all tours representative Katherine was degrading and rude to me and my companion. She was unprofessional and she seriously be looked at by the management.

+ helpfull reception, nice staff, clean, breakfast and dinner very good and varied, pretty evening shows, good situated (on a bus stop)
- few staff in the restaurant = long wait queues, queus on the elevaters, poor animation during the day, rooms are clean but need renovation to a four star level, noice between the rooms,many low class public
