Stayed at the Tamariscos for 2 weeks in September on a bed and breakfast basis.
Location of hotel is perfect, less than a minute from the beach and only a couple of minutes from the harbour with its restaurants and bars.
Breakfast was ok - only cold food on offer though and after 2 weeks the selection got a bit repetitive! Fruit juice, tea/coffee, Bread, rolls, ham, cheese, various jams, cereal and a couple of different pastries. Run by 2 members of staff, who also ran the bar all day - they did a good job.
Room was large, but a bit jaded. We didn't work out the cleaners routine, they seemed to come in when they felt like it (at 7pm one evening!!), they did seem very over worked.
Pools were fine, the hotel could do with investing in some new sunbeds for next year, they were ok but quite old.
Would recommend Cala'n Bosch which is a lovely resort. Plenty of restaurants to choose from - our favourite was Avanti and our least favourite was El Pato. The Fiesta restuarant is excellent for families as they have an indoor play area with CCTV which parents can watch on television screens from their tables.
Cala'n Bosch is a family friendly resort, although we went as a couple and it was fine for us as well.
Overall, would recommend Minorca, Cala'n Bosch and Tamariscos. If you stay at Tamariscos you should expect a nice place to stay, in a good location but remember the hotel isn't perfect.
