Just been to the Maribel apartments for a short 4 day break. Initial impressions when we first arrived were mixed to say the least, the apartments are situated in a complex above shops, bars and restaurants but any negative feelings disappeared as soon as we got in our apartment. Bearing in mind we stayed there from 8-12 Sept the complex was very quiet but not too quiet, excellent bar and restaurants at the end of the complex looking out toward Marjorca where you can sit and watch the fantastic sunsets, short bus ride into Ciutadella to find more life. The apartment itself was extremely well appointed and very comfortable, the one we were in had a large lounge/dining area (with satellite TV picking up all the English terrestrial channels), decent bathroom and kitchenette, OK sized twin bedrooms and the all important air con - spotlessly clean!!! - All in all we were well impressed with our stay and would have no hesitation staying here again

We have just stayed for two weeks for the second year running in the Maribel Apartments. The facilities at Maribel are great for kids - two swimming pools, shaded areas with play equipment and an indoor soft play area. The food from the restaurant is good and the staff are helpful and courteous. The apartments have wifi access at the bar and computers in the reception area. There is a very good gift shop attached with a wide range of quality souvenirs and holiday bits n bobs.
The apartments themselves are spread out over different sites - some above the main building, some above the main commercial centre (which is basically a precinct with a row either side of restaurants and bars), some two storey town houses on an adjacent street and another group of apartments about 10 mins walk away but having a pool on site too. The aparements are clean and well furnished with a two ring hob and microwave, iron and board (laundry machines available in the main building) but no electric kettle though these are available from reception. We had air con and two bedroom fans. Towels and loo rolls were topped up every 3 days and sheets changed once a week. When our toilet flush broke we reported it in the morning and it was fixed by the evening when we came back in. A request for more bin liners was similarly actioned.
The pool area is kept clean and is very popular with "locals" in the late afternoon but apart from that, was pretty quiet...not a problem finding somewhere to sit where you can keep an eye on the children while they have fun in the pool.
Cala Blanca itself is very quiet and laid back. There are a few restaurants in the commercial centre - Jennys, Laurel & Hardy, Il Vespro (great tapas and sunset) Great Wall of China and a few chill out type bars. There is some noise in the late evenings but only one night when a Spanish guitar sing a long session kept disturbing us! At the Cala Blanca cove itself, there are more restaurants and the little beach just a 15 minute walk. In the other direction Cala Santandria beach is about 30 mins slow walk. The bus stops outside Maribel which goes to Ciutadella and Cala n'Bosch and the service is cheap, regular and comfortable. All in all, great value for money and as long as you don't want a load of Brits and round the clock entertainment - you will have a wonderful time!

a cheap get away in a lovely location. You are close to two stunning beaches. Resturants near by are tasty the tapas bar by the beach is the best. Lovely bars nearby. Apartments are spacious and clean. Swimming pool was warm. You are near cuitidella for good days out. Please go its a beautiful place. Beds are very comfortable.

Having read reviews we were not expecting too much from this holiday. We ended up pleasantly suprised. The apartments were basic but were clean, had microwave, large fridge-freezer and 2 ring halogen hob. I agree with other comments regarding the noise at night but it's only distant music and you do get used to it (nothing at all like shouting yobs or intrusive volumes). Locals were all very pleasant. Down side was the weather, it rained for 3 out of the seven days but that cannot be helped. New indoor play area opened on site, not very big but combined with the pool table, air hockey and bar-football table our 9 + 5yr olds were never really bored. Plenty of places to eat. Staff at Maribel excellent. A good holiday. Main gripe poor waether and not much to do at night.
