Just returned from a week in the Cala Blanca, and were missing it already.
I shall detail every aspect so you may get a good insight into this hotel
Upon entering the hotel we were checked in by very friendly staff, it took 2 minutes and were issued with our electronic room key, the lift is very small but quick, we were on the third floor after emailing the hotel and asking for a pool view they obliged.
The rooms are clean and the air con is great, however there are no tea and coffe making facilities.
Two single beds and bunk beds in our room, dressing table, and large wardrobe, this is where the safe is (hired through reception)
The bathroom is fresh and clean, however beware the shower, it has a mind of it's own going hot and cold, the trick is to turn the pressure down, this seemed to solve the problem.
From our large balcony we overlooked the pool, it was a great view, you could even see Majorca.
The pool area is great, loads of sun beds so no need to get up early to put the towels down, we lay on the lawns which is really peaceful.
The pool is cold but very clean and refreshing as the temperature was in the high 90's every day.
The bar is again very clean, and you're served very very quickly, the beer is great and the spirits although local are of a high quality, and a very large measure!
The breakfast is ample, cooked, breads, meats, eggs, cereal, fruit etc..you find your own table for breakfast, lunch I found was slightly better than evening time, you are shown to your seats for both lunch and evening meals.
The meals are good, always something to fill you, maybe not as hot as they should be but there are microwaves to heat them up, there is always a fish dish which was great, veg, potato, chips, salad, meat, chicken etc..
The entertainment team were excellent and really made our holiday, there are events on all day, you really should enter as many as you can, that way you get to meet other holiday makers, and some great friends.
Of an evening more fun awaits, firstly people who have won games throughout the day are awarded certificates and champagne on stage, is is great, then bingo, quizes, and an act, the bar closes at midnight but you can take your drinks onto the patio beside the pool.
There is a security guard who patrols later on to make sure there is no noise.
The hotel is situated about 3 minutes from a gorgeous beach if that's your thing, however there is little else about, which is just what we wanted.
A bus into the main town is met just outside the hotel and costs 1.50 euro each way, when you get off in Ciutadella go and get your return ticket from the wooden office, you can't get a ticket on the bus to return.
Shops and supermarkets are not allowed to sell cigarettes or tobacco so you must get them in bulk in Ciutadella, however you can get a packet from machines in a few bars.
All in all this is a great hotel, friendly staff, great surroundings, and excellent value for money, we met some great people who will be long term friends.
I would recommend this hotel if you want a quiet holiday, not really for young people.
