Stayed at this hotel on 23rd october with my family and 12 year old daughter, it was half term week, hotel very nice, spacious room upgrade to pool view as very nice, food good. Problem was the whole town had close down no shops open, only 3 restaurants, no bars, the marina closed, all places of interest on island closed already. Apparantley been closed afew weeks.so had nothing to do. I imagine the hotel and town would be very nice in the summer, but dont book to go in October. Hotel prices very expensive, we had no alternative. next year will be adult only hotel, hope the pool warms up as was sub zero temperature, no one went in.

I`ve just read that they are changing this fabulous hotel into an ADULT ONLY, we have stayed 2yrs running at this great hotel, we have a 7yr old and he loved it. I can honestly say we could not fault it..the food, the staff were marvelous...just so upset that we will not be able to return.

Stayed 7nights July half board , pool view, 1st floor. Very clean rooms, spacious, big balcony, lovely chairs and table (not plastic :) ) mimi bar empty so we stored water in here.
Pool area really gorgeous! Clean, warm, really comfy sunbeds. Any "reserved" beds that werent occupied for a period of time were made available to other guests which is exelent.
Volleyball and water basket ball every afternoon. Didn't inter fear with use of pool as plenty of space.
Food great choice, fresh fruit, juice, pancakes loads of choice. Very clean resraunt, polite staff,
Would defiantly returne, just wonderful. X

We stayed at the Valentin Star from the 18th October after moving hotels. This hotel should be 5*. From the moment you walk into the reception there's a feeling of peace and tranquillity, the staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the rooms are cleaned on a daily basis. The bedrooms are large tastfully furnished and have large tv if you want, kettle, fridge and hairdryer and plenty of wardrobe space. We had a room on the ground floor facing the pool which was brilliant. The resturant was great, lots of choice with a mixture of salads and cooked food - meat, fish and vegetarian choices and lots being cooked freshly in front of you to your liking. Breakfast is a choice of continental, cooked full english and freshly made toasties, omlettes and pancakes, and in the evening there is a good choice of wines, beers and soft drinks served with your meal you also get a choice of sitting inside or outside.
The hotel is in a ideal position on the edge of the marina where you will find lots of bars and resturants.
We would definately recommend this hotel and will be going again.
