“relaxing break”

hotasa is in cala del ram, just out side cala en forcat, which is a good place for families, lots of beaches(beautiful beaches) ask people where to find them when you arrive. thats how you experience them all by talking to others. the hotel was groups of four apartments 2up2down. looking over the sea. hotel entertainment only saw it once was not good, but you must look for yourself. but a short walk away 10/12mins is a place called jimmy hills you have entertainers, eg fake that, bee gees. hotel food good had the odd hiccup but in all was good. breaky: full cooked and/or sweet pastries 'donuts etc', dinner: starter salad/soup main-fish/meat/pasta veg & pots/chips. Our room had two wardrobes, seating for 6, table, 4chairs, air con iron, kettle, toaster, fridge, microwave. but no hairdryer or tv remote you need to hire these from reception. best thing to do is hire a car and see all the island, make sure you take your mask, snorkel, bread(for the fish) about 20e petrol should get you 3 days of beach hunting. you can't get lost and you don't need to buy an expensive map (the brochure map is sufficient) as there is one main road and all the others branch off.. easy peasy. bus to cuetadella was 155e ea. transfer 45 mins from mao. Beautiful island and yes we will be visiting minorca again, where exactly we don't know yet.. tener una gran fiesta. (have a great holiday)

“Four Star its not!!!!”

If you want a pretty view and a quiet location this is it. If you are looking for good food with a choice, forget it. The buffet was between cool and luke warm what ever time you went to dinner and there seemed more flies around it than the usual meal set up. If you had been unlucky enough to book all inclusive you would only get a packet of crisps at lunch time.
I felt that the place lacked friendliness from most of the staff on site, right across the board.
Over the 5 days we stayed, we only got the room cleaned once.
The pool area is nice but the sun beds are hard plastic back breakers, the shame is, a a little bit of effort it could be better. Self Catering is your best bet if you dont mind not having a beach nearby and can walk 15 to 20 minutes to the town.

“Even better than expected”

Returned last Sunday (18th Sept) after a lovely week at this hotel. My wife and I stayed on a self catering basis so can't comment on the quality of the food, but the facilities in the apartment were very good. First impressions were very good with friendly staff, clean accommodation and well maintained grounds which was a relief after reading some reviews that mentioned that the hotel was in administration. The room cleaning service was regular and couldn't be faulted. The location of the hotel was ideal if you are looking for peace and quiet, which we were. All apartments appeared to have sea views and the hotel was situated at the end of a cul-de-sac so no traffic noise. The air conditioning, which we needed to use at night, was very quiet and we always got a good night's sleep. Can't understand some of the negative reviews re. entertainment, it may not have been 'Las Vegas' but what do you expect. So to sum up we would happily stay here again.

“Back 2 days ago from Hotasa Sea Club”

I've previously written a review based on my stay for last year... well here's the update for this years stay.....
Stayed all half board this year rather than self catering last year, so obviously we had no dealing with the restaurant until our visit this year. It can get a bit busy but not overwhelmingly so. I went with a party of 8 (4 adults and 4 children). Food wise, there wasnt a great deal of variety, but what was available was great, especially during the breakfast time. I went with the intention of upgrading to all inclusive but it was a bit pricey, considering that there was no lunch included in package, just drinks and ice creams when you upgrade from half board to all inclusive.
Accomodation and facilities are great. Everywhere is spotless and still no fighting for the sunbeds. Maid service was regular and both the entertainment, maintenance, admin and bar staff were very, very friendly...English people are in the minority there, its mainly spanish residents who use the hotel as a base and then travel to the beaches during the daytime (by the way...as mentioned in previous review... Tony the spanish person who speaks with a Cockney accent spent 15 years in East London)
Apparently the hotel chain has gone into liquidation, so if its true that the staff havent been paid for a couple of months, my whole perception of the service there has massivley gone up in my estimation. Everyone of the bar, ents and reception staff who were there last year were also there this year and were as helpful and friendly as ever. My kids want to go back there for a 3rd year (especially my 14yr old) which I think says a lot for the place.

Room Tip: Personally I'd choose rooms 1 to 40 ish to get the best locations, close to both pools within th...
