This is a fabulous holiday and we are looking to return next year.
The hotel was clean, tidy and very friendly; the staff work tirelessly. The rooms were cleaned daily and were spotless. There was a fantastic variety and selection of food in the restaurant which I would defy anyone to be disappointed! There isn’t a soft drink vendor in the restaurant during meal times, but you are encouraged to bring in drinks from the bar to your table, there is a water and wine stall which suited us just fine.
Outside main meal times, the restaurant is open for snacks; between breakfast and lunch was a selection of continental cold snacks – croissants, cold meats, cheeses, biscuits etc and between lunch and evening meal times there was a selection of burgers, hotdogs and chips. All food was served and eaten within the restaurant - no exceptions, possibly not a bad idea as the pool area was always spotless and I never saw any rubbish and dropped litter. For the non-all inclusive guests, there is a small bar/snack hut which sold burger/dogs/chips and had a few tables sited near the large pool/apartment area or you could buy pizza at the main bar area.
The daily entertainment (except Friday – staff day off) was great, it begins at 11am and I would encourage everyone to take part in some, if not all activities. The adults’ entertainment varies from Archery, darts; French bowls, rifle shooting and the children’s activities is crazy golf, skittles, target practice, colouring competition, T-shirt painting, sjóelen. At 12 noon there is a quiz around the pool, similar to a pub quiz type thing. There is a recess for lunch and at 2pm there are more activities for both adults and children to join in together and once a week is a fun day of ‘olympics’ with lots of crazy challengers for everyone working in teams. At 3pm starts the adults’ water polo and 3.30pm is the kids’ water polo and at 4pm is the aqua dancing for all.
The evening entertainment begins at 8pm with dancing and games for the kids followed with awards and certificate at 9pm for all the winners from the earlier activities (5 certificates = medal)!!! Then there is the usual bingo and Hi surprise game. At 10pm the main show begins; now then... if the ‘in-house’ entertainment team are doing the show – DO NOT MISS IT. Noelia, Daniel, Mariola and Damian pull out all the stops and really put on a show I would gladly pay to see. However, if the external ‘professional’ show is on stage (twice per week), grab yourself a box of dominoes, cards or go visit SpongeBob-land, giant whale bouncy land or Jimmy Hills pub down the road!!!!
During our stay and our ‘attempts’ at the activities, we met some wonderful families and had some real belly-aching laughs together (Blake trying to ride a hotdog in the pool, Damian in a man-kini and Daniel in drag springs to mind)!! I also increased my Spanish vocabulary with the help of José and Noel behind the bar.
I would recommend this hotel 100% and had the best holiday of my life!
I hope this review was helpful and maybe meet you in 2012!!
