“Really Good Holiday”

Have just returned from a week alll inclusive at the Los Delphines. The hotel was spotless and the food good and varied, much of it was cooked in front of us. The room was comfortable even if a bit small. A kettle and a hair dryer would have been useful, although they could be hired. We had clean towels daily and clean sheets twice during the week The staff were lovely, helpful and friendly.
The entertainment was more suited to families( we were just a couple in our 50s) Although the enthusiasm and hardwork of the Thomas Cook entertainment team couldn't be faulted. There were two proffessional cabaret acts during the week, though they were on late, after the kids disco and the bingo.
The hotel is very close to an excellent bus service and a 15 minute walk to a lovely beach. All in all we would go back to the Los Delphines!

“Superb time, looking to return”

Just returned from a wonderful 7 days at the Los Delfines.

Started off as Half Board, but as it only worked out at 6 beers to upgrade to All Inclusive it was a no brainer, the food was well made and very fresh, to the point the eggs were fried in-front of you in the morning and there was always fresh fruit available, only gripe about the food is they like their pork as seemed to be a pork dish on everyday (i'm not a fan of pork so understandable why I didn't like that, but was always another option available)

Hotel was spotless and any problems were soon sorted, extra door key and pillows arranged very quickly, hotel rooms were on the small side, certainly wouldn't want to have anymore than 2 in them!!!! and the beds are not the most comfortable but suffice. There's wifi available in the hotel reception who will gladly give you the password.

Hotel staff were very efficient and hard working especially the bar and restaurant staff who soon get used to your requirements and are very friendly.

Entertainment team of Noella, Mariola, Damien and the totally nutty Daniel were superb throughout and totally make the place.

Now to save those pennies to return next year for 2 weeks!!!!

Room Tip: The electricity can be worked by putting any card in the slot.

“Lovely Hotel would go back”

Hi have just returned from this hotel and would just like to comment on our stay. The hotel was great from the receptionist to the rooms extremely clean and tidy, would have to say that the mattresses are not very comfortable and although requesting a double received two beds pushed together with separate linen on each bed (i do believe this is pretty standard having experienced this before) and the tv for some unknown reason lost signal around 7 in the evening so don't rely on them for entertainment unless you are fluent in spainish!

The swimming pools were fantastic plenty to choose from so no overcrowding. The sunbeds again plenty to go round but beware as you sit on your balcony overlooking the pools very early people arrive with their towels to secure the best spots and then disappearing til a while later. This is not meant to happen but it does.

The entertainment is ok but definitely more geared to the children and all goes quiet by midnight.

The food, well not sure how I should put this, although again amazing choice not what I enjoyed at all. I was grateful I had only booked half board so I could eat something nice at lunch away from the hotel. The food was very bland to taste and the fish you had so many bones in them it was hard work. The last evenin we enjoyed a meal away from the hotel, it was great to have some flavour to the food at last. I would highly recommend Castaways, very friendly people here and have many choices on the menu. Our evening meal was at Bianco, now if you want a choice, fantastic, hundreds to make and will do any combination you fancy. Great food, very tasty and very reasonably priced.

The actual place has a water park at the end of the road and is literally 200 yards from hotel also has plenty of shops along one street. I would recommend getting the 61 bus (from the top of the road near the waterpark) into Citudella lovely place and really good cafe's and shops and the port is worth a walk to. The bus ride cost 1.55 euro each way per person.

Not really a coast nearby although there is a cove which was well worth the visit, its only at the end of the road, well hidden mind but nice afternoon out if you're looking for some sea and sand.

Overall great holiday would probably return again one day.

Room Tip: Book for the hotel as the apartments apparently are not the best.

“Nice holiday, shame about the apartments!!!!”

Went to this resort for the first time, great for the kids (aged 13 and 10), stayed in the apartments as opposed to the hotel, and went fully inclusive. We wish we had opted for the hotel as the apartments were in total need of a refurb and updating. The apartment was hot as no air con or ceiling fans, smelt very damp and musty. We also had on two ocassions cockroaches, I told the rep who told me that these are common! The maids did change towels and bedding regularly, so no complaints there. Apart from the apartments, the holiday was lovely, food was sufficient for all inclusive, good entertainment and kids were kept amused all week. The pool was kept clean and the surrounding areas. The resort in general was clean and tidy. No problems with reserving sunbeds as these are chained up every night and opened at 8.30, altho there was always plenty left over. If you are thinking of coming to this resort, avoid the apartments.

“Simply wonderful”

This is a fabulous holiday and we are looking to return next year.

The hotel was clean, tidy and very friendly; the staff work tirelessly. The rooms were cleaned daily and were spotless. There was a fantastic variety and selection of food in the restaurant which I would defy anyone to be disappointed! There isn’t a soft drink vendor in the restaurant during meal times, but you are encouraged to bring in drinks from the bar to your table, there is a water and wine stall which suited us just fine.

Outside main meal times, the restaurant is open for snacks; between breakfast and lunch was a selection of continental cold snacks – croissants, cold meats, cheeses, biscuits etc and between lunch and evening meal times there was a selection of burgers, hotdogs and chips. All food was served and eaten within the restaurant - no exceptions, possibly not a bad idea as the pool area was always spotless and I never saw any rubbish and dropped litter. For the non-all inclusive guests, there is a small bar/snack hut which sold burger/dogs/chips and had a few tables sited near the large pool/apartment area or you could buy pizza at the main bar area.

The daily entertainment (except Friday – staff day off) was great, it begins at 11am and I would encourage everyone to take part in some, if not all activities. The adults’ entertainment varies from Archery, darts; French bowls, rifle shooting and the children’s activities is crazy golf, skittles, target practice, colouring competition, T-shirt painting, sjóelen. At 12 noon there is a quiz around the pool, similar to a pub quiz type thing. There is a recess for lunch and at 2pm there are more activities for both adults and children to join in together and once a week is a fun day of ‘olympics’ with lots of crazy challengers for everyone working in teams. At 3pm starts the adults’ water polo and 3.30pm is the kids’ water polo and at 4pm is the aqua dancing for all.

The evening entertainment begins at 8pm with dancing and games for the kids followed with awards and certificate at 9pm for all the winners from the earlier activities (5 certificates = medal)!!! Then there is the usual bingo and Hi surprise game. At 10pm the main show begins; now then... if the ‘in-house’ entertainment team are doing the show – DO NOT MISS IT. Noelia, Daniel, Mariola and Damian pull out all the stops and really put on a show I would gladly pay to see. However, if the external ‘professional’ show is on stage (twice per week), grab yourself a box of dominoes, cards or go visit SpongeBob-land, giant whale bouncy land or Jimmy Hills pub down the road!!!!

During our stay and our ‘attempts’ at the activities, we met some wonderful families and had some real belly-aching laughs together (Blake trying to ride a hotdog in the pool, Damian in a man-kini and Daniel in drag springs to mind)!! I also increased my Spanish vocabulary with the help of José and Noel behind the bar.

I would recommend this hotel 100% and had the best holiday of my life!

I hope this review was helpful and maybe meet you in 2012!!
